Story
Milo is the sweetest dog, who loves to cuddle on the couch and in bed as much as possible. He loves walks, and playing with his squeaky toys and chewing on bones. He is about 9 years old. He loves everyone but especially women. Milo was rescued from an abusive home where he was left in a crate all the time. And so he suffers from separation anxiety. He is a very good boy and his symptoms are easily managed by medication. ( $20 a month) He also must be crated when you leave the house as he gets anxious. This is why I will only let him go to a home where the owners are home a lot such as a work from home or retired owner situation. Milo would love to possibly be a travel companion. (He travels well) Milo has a sensitive stomach so he just needs regular dog food and dog treats. No people food. Milo is the sweetest dog but we are unable to give him the attention that he craves. He wants to be by your side all the time and gives so much love and adoration.

Story
Introducing Ruby! At 6.5 years and 70lbs, this Bernese Mountain dog is a glorious girl full of love to share with you. Ruby spent the first part of her life in a puppy mill, forced to reproduce and live in filthy conditions with minimal care. Despite the hardships she has faced, Ruby's affectionate personality truly sparkles. Her day is not complete without plentiful snuggles, which she demands over and over by leaning solidly against you. Ruby's advances are hard to resist - her soft, thick coat feels just like hugging a real live teddy bear! Ruby is a low-energy dog who enjoys the simple pleasures in life like rolling in grass and napping in the sun, and she is happiest with a human by her side. She loves going for walks and has amazing leash manners! Ruby is still learning what treats are, but thinks hot dogs are the best thing she's tasted so far. Stairs, dog beds, playing, and toys are all new concepts that Ruby is slowly learning. Like any good Berner, Ruby has a stubborn streak and will simply put on the brakes when faced with something she thinks she doesn't want or need to do. Training Ruby will likely take patience and persistence. Ruby doesn't always love getting into her crate, but once she's in Ruby hangs out there peacefully and quietly. Ruby is still working on house training, but is doing great with frequent potty breaks. Ruby is friendly with other people, children, and dogs but is a little too interested in cats. As a puppy mill survivor, Ruby was under socialized and is nervous with new people, places, and sounds. In unfamiliar situations this brave girl looks to her human for a few moments of reassurance. She quickly warms up once she realizes she is safe, and is demanding affection in no time. Who can resist those big brown eyes? Ruby is a truly special gem deserving of only the best that life has to offer. Apply today to welcome beautiful Ruby into your heart and home! Ruby is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Jia is a 3 year old mini doodle, who wants to be where ever her people are. While we are not sure how she would do with cats or kids, we do know she has lived and done well with other dogs. Jia does know a few commands such as sit, stay, cage and inside, but would greatly benefit from ongoing training and enrichment to keep her being the best girl she can be. Jia is also very vocal and likes to sing the song of her people every chance she gets. if you would like to meet Jia, please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit her and all her adoptable friends.
