Have you ever met a six-year-old purebred Bernese Mountain Dog who considers napping a competitive sport? My name is Bunsen, and I am told I am the best of the best, so I suppose I should tell you a little about myself. My days are simple, and I like them that way. I nap in my favorite spot under the window, I supervise the garden whenever someone is working in it, and I always know exactly when snack time is approaching. I am a ten out of ten napping partner, and I do my best work when I am close to the people I love. I do not need much exercise, though I am always happy for a walk in the morning or evening, as long as it is not too long. As a Berner, cold weather is my favorite season, and while summer is not really my thing, I manage just fine with some air conditioning and a frozen treat or two. I am wonderful with new people and genuinely love meeting them. My foster family has watched me grow and settle in beautifully, and now I am ready and waiting for a forever home of my own. A little more about me: I am fully potty trained, I am comfortable being left alone at home, I walk nicely on a leash, I enjoy being groomed, and I ride well in the car once I get used to the motion. Bella was adopted as a puppy from a shelter in Illinois, and was the smallest of her litter.She is so affectionate and loving. The kids love giving her snuggles, and she enjoys getting them. She is undergoing treatment at Ellis Clinic at no charge to their adopter. Heartworm is a treatable disease that most dogs make a full recovery from.
