Hi! I am Noah. I am a 3-4 ish year old male Bernese mountain dog. I went to ForGood rescue after being found as a stray in central Illinois. I was SUPER skinny, - like sack of bones skinny but my foster family has given me lots of good food and I am getting heavier every day. I love to get all the snuggles, am potty trained and am so good in the backyard! I am good in the house- I dont need to be crated, but keep a watchful eye on me cuz I might steel a sock!! I just cant help myself! I love to play with doggies, but am a little too assertive with cats. My foster mommy tells me that I would do best in a home that has lots of love to give me, is home more often than not, has a big backyard for me to run around in and doesnt have cats or small kids (I love kids its just that I just dont know my strength sometimes and maybe I think Im a lap dog). Speaking of laps - I would love to lay in one all day. I promise Im just a happy go lucky guy who needs my forever family!!! I’ve been with my family since I was 4 months old, but because of reasons outside our control, they made the very hard decision to help me find a new home where I can get the time and stability I deserve.I’m a happy, affectionate guy who truly loves my people. I’m friendly with humans of all sizes and although I have never lived with other dogs, I get along with them during introductions. I’m a little too curious about cats, so no feline friends for me please!! One of my favorite things in the world is being outside! I have lots of energy and would really love a home with a securely fenced yard where I can explore, play, and soak up the fresh air. I am a little strong on a leash, so I could use some leash manners training, but I would make a great companion for neighborhood strolls and outdoor adventures. I’m fully house-trained and haven’t needed a crate in years.Because I’m a Bernedoodle, I do need regular professional grooming to keep my coat healthy and comfortable. Meet Mueca, the beautiful older sister of our bernedoodle puppies who is finally getting her chance at a real life. Mueca was originally kept by a backyard breeder to be used for breeding, but thankfully that plan changedand she was recently spayed. Now, instead of a life producing puppies, she gets to be someones baby for the very first time. She is adjusting to a whole new world and learning what it means to live in a home. Because of her background, she may be a bit shy and unsure at first, but with patience and consistency, she will continue to come out of her shell. Dogs like Mueca form incredibly deep bonds once they feel safe. She is doing well the basics, including potty training and everyday routines, so she will need a patient and understanding home. English will be her second language as her first owners only spoke Spanish to her. A calm environment, and possibly another confident dog, would help her continue to build confidence. Mueca is ready to leave her past behind and start the life she always deservedone filled with love, comfort, and stability. She comes with her current DHPP vaccines (including boosters provided by the rescue), bordetella vaccine, microchip, deworming, and a current health certificate.
