Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: - I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I’m a little shy—slow and steady wins the race with me.- During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs. - An adopter with positive reinforcement training experience would help me thrive! My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - Wayside recommends that I go to a home that already has another confident dog to help build my confidence. Special Request from Glenda: For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.

Story
This is Willow. Someone said she was near death and needed to be picked up. It was right before holidays and I couldnt just let her sit there. I brought her home to save her life and now I need someone to give her a forever home. I feel like I was wrong for getting her knowing I couldn't care for her long term but I could not let her die. They said she is the runt and wouldn’t fight for her food. They said she is about 6 months. They also said mom was hit by a car and passed when they were younger. They said the mom was a Great Dane mastiff mid and dad was great pyrenees. When they handed her to me it was horrible. She couldn’t walk. She smelled like a dead animal for days after being bathed several times. She has put on some weight and she loves to snuggle. She has been around children and a big dog and she is great. She is not food aggressive in anyway she does go poop and pee outside every time but still has accidents peeing. Text for more info! 2nd pick is when rescued
