Story
Pet Location: Wayside Waifs CampusMy Friends at Wayside say: - I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- An adopter with basic training experience would help me thrive! My home needs are: - A fenced yard is a must for me! I do not know how to walk on a leash, so I need a secure area to go out for potty breaks.- I feel more comfortable around new people when I have a doggie friend to build my confidence. Wayside requires you to bring your dog with you when you come to meet me. - I must go to a home that already has another dog so they can show me the ropes. - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to make sure they can “show me the ropes.”Special Request from Gloria: For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.

Story
Milo DOB: 11/06/2025 Breed: Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / German Shepherd mix (best guess) Milo is a bright, curious puppy with a charming mixed look and an engaging personality. He loves to investigate new things, play with toys, and interact with the people around him. Milo brings a nice balance of puppy playfulness and thoughtful moments, making him fun to watch and easy to connect with. Like all puppies, Milo is learning his routines and will thrive with continued training, socialization, and positive guidance. He would do well in a home excited to nurture a growing pup and ready for the time, patience, and joy that come with puppyhood. Milo is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will help him grow into a confident, loyal companion. Breed mix is a best guess based on appearance and age; we cannot guarantee breed makeup. ✨ All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. If you have other dogs in your home, we require that they meet our dog prior to adoption. 💲 Adoption fee: $225 📍 Once you apply, the foster will contact you to schedule a meet and greet. 👉 Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Spot Great Pyrenees / German Shepherd / Labrador mix (best guess) DOB: 11/06/2025 Spot is a thoughtful, gentle puppy who enjoys life at a calmer pace. He’s a bit cautious at first but quickly shows his affectionate side—he loves to snuggle, curl up for naps, and be carried around. Playtime happens in short bursts, followed by plenty of relaxation. Nicknamed “Raccoon” thanks to his facial markings (not because he’s a trash panda), Spot enjoys laying in the sun and spending time with his brother. He does very well in his crate and will patiently wait to be released, even when the door is open. Spot is not a mouthy puppy and would do well with smaller children. He gets along well with large dogs and, with proper introductions and training, may do fine with cats. Based on his mix, he’s expected to grow into a medium-to-large adult dog. Spot would be a great addition to a variety of homes and is ready to continue growing with a family who will guide him as he matures. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for all dogs/pups: $225. Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Magnitude is a 2 month old who we are told is a Great Pyrenees, Lab and GSD mix. Magnitude is a full-force bundle of energy, charm, and pure silliness! This incredibly handsome puppy has a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He’s highly social and thrives around people, always eager to make new friends and be part of whatever is happening. Food is one of Magnitude’s biggest motivators, which makes him a great candidate for training. He’s already showing signs of being a quick learner who enjoys engaging with his humans and figuring things out. While he’s not especially cuddly, he more than makes up for it with playful antics, curiosity, and nonstop entertainment. Magnitude is adaptable, outgoing, and confident, making him a wonderful option for a first-time dog owner or an active home looking for a fun, lively companion. He could also do well as a playful sibling for another dog who enjoys an energetic buddy. Like all puppies, Magnitude will benefit from continued training, structure, and enrichment to help him grow into his best self. With the right guidance, he’s sure to become an amazing adult dog. If you’re looking for a puppy with a bold personality, a sense of humor, and endless joy to share, Magnitude might be the perfect match for you!
