Story
Bandit needs a new home. We have tried to make him a part of our family, raising him since a puppy and keeping him for 4.5 years but it is not meant to be. Not everyone in our house turns out to be a “dog person.” He has become possessive over toys and treats; some say he must be jealous of the baby. We hope to find someone willing to reinforce good training for him, but we have not the time nor the patience. He might be okay with other dogs and cats, but he likes to hunt rodents. He does not have house accidents or chew things that are not his. He does not get scared of storms but hates sprinkles and mowers. We will give you ALL his stuff if you promise to take good care of him—combs, flea-tick meds, treats, food, raised storage bowl thing, every water bowl, every toy, leash, his backet of blankets and towels he likes to bring out and show people, even his old crate and dog house if you want it!

Story
Name: Chico Age: 5 yrs, 11 mos (DOB 3/5/20) Weight: About 115 lbs Likes/Favorite Activities: · Belly Rubs · Treats · Meals · Being near people · ATTENTION! · Nibbling on stuffed toys · Smiling · Talking (barking) Dislikes: None Personality/Temperament: VERY fun loving and super sweet. Listens well! VERY Happy boy! Energy Level: Low-Moderate (rather typical for a dog his age) Favorite Treat(s): ANY, he isn’t picky! Eating Schedule: Twice per day (approx. 7 am & 6 pm). Eats about 2 cups of dry food at each meal He is good with our dogs and was good with our last cat. He has also been very good with the kids he has been around (kids of all ages). He is housetrained with no accidents. He goes to the door and barks if he has to go out. However, we tend to let our pups out more often than “normal” due to our other pups (not due to Chico!) Sometimes, he refuses to go out if he doesn’t have to go. Crate Trained: Never used one with him. Was never needed. Challenges: Honestly none that we have identified yet. He did show his teeth once, but that only happened when he had a baby bunny in the yard. Medical Issues: His ears tend to get dirty often and bother him. We clean them each morning and sometimes have to put drops in them (Mometazole 15g) when he seems to be shaking his head excessively. He will chew at his paws so he takes Apoquel daily for that (approx $100 monthly). He is on Simparaca Trio monthly for flea/tick/heartworm prevention. He also has had 2 surgeries - FHO and TPLO, so he does require glucosamine supplements... he also requires carpet - he does not feel safe walking on other surfaces. While we do not know much about his history prior to coming to live with his foster family (May 2025), Chico is just a very happy boy that has a great demeanor and LOVES to be petted! Literally everyone that has met him LOVES him!! Apply at chirp.me/LDR

Story
Meet Bear: Your future 71-pound shadow and professional cuddler! This handsome 5-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog is officially trading his past breeding life for luxury, couch snuggles, and heavy shedding. 🐾 The Bear Essentials Age: 5 years young Weight: 71 pounds of pure fluff Breed: Bernese Mountain Dog Dog Friendly: Absolutely! He loves canine companions.❤️ Why You'll Love Him Bear is a sweet, affectionate giant who is discovering that the world isn’t so scary after all. Every single day, he builds up a little more confidence and learns how to just be a dog. Watching him realize that belly rubs are free and hands are for petting is the most rewarding thing you will ever experience. 🏔️ What to Expect with a "Berner" Bernese Mountain Dogs are famous for their wonderful temperaments, but their owners need to be prepared for the full Berner experience: The "Berner Lean": Bear will likely lean his entire 71-pound body against your legs to show affection. It is his way of giving a hug! A Weatherproof Coat: He features a thick double coat built for Swiss winters. He will thrive in the cold but needs plenty of air conditioning and shade during hot summer days. The "Glitter" (Shedding): Expect year-round shedding and heavy blowing of his undercoat twice a year. Investing in a great vacuum cleaner is highly recommended. 🏫 Life Skills Under Construction Because Bear spent his early years in a mill, he is a bit behind on his indoor manners. He is looking for a patient family ready to help him navigate his new life. Potty Training: Assume he knows nothing! Consider it a fun bonding experiment where you both celebrate every successful backyard trip like you won the lottery. Continuing Education: He needs a family dedicated to showing him the ropes, from leash walking to discovering the magic of toys. If you have room in your heart (and on your floor) for a gentle giant who just wants to love and be loved, Bear is waiting for you!
