Maple is an absolute sweetheart. She came from an abusive background, chained and unloved, since puppyhood. We haven't had her long, but she has opened up so amazingly, showing off her wonderful, playful personality, in such a short period of time. We are currently hoping to either find little Maple an amazing forever home, or an awesome foster that's willing to take her on. She is completely up to date on all of her shots, including rabies, and microchipped. She did initially not understand that she wasn't supposed to potty inside, but within just two days, she quickly learned her foster siblings routine and mastered potty training with ease! The only thing we have yet to do is get her spayed, but that will be scheduled as soon as possible. She is gracious, delightful, calm, and healthy. Best of all, she is already fully potty, crate, and house trained. She is now ready to find a place she can truly call her 'forever home.' Baby is absolutely wonderful with people and has mastered the art of winning hearts. When playing in the backyard, she’ll throw herself onto the grass to show her belly, happily rubbing herself into the ground until she’s covered in debris. I’m convinced she does this on purpose—just to earn a few extra pets while you help clean the grass off her! She is incredibly gentle when handled during mealtimes or when receiving treats. While she can be a bit aloof with strangers, she warms up beautifully with slow, patient introductions to new relatives and friends. Regarding other dogs, Baby prefers a gradual introduction. She is a bit of a 'Queen' and likes other dogs to adjust to her pace, but she does get there eventually! She currently shares her home with an Australian Shepherd and two cats.
