For ages he was stuck with a thick mat covering his right eye, but now he is sporting a sleek look that will make him the envy of all his dog pals. Albert is 6 years young and he loves nothing better than to strut his stuff on a walk with you! He is low maintenance and since he was recently shaved his fur is starting to grow back so nicely. He just wants to snuggle up next to you or follow you while you do your chores. He sleeps in a crate at night but he would prefer to be with his owner. He fusses for a few minutes then he is quiet all night. He would do his best as an only dog because he seems afraid of other dogs. She arrived in our care in pretty rough shape, but with gentle handling, good food, and a much&#226&#128&#145needed grooming, she’s finally discovering what it feels like to be loved and cared for Despite everything she’s been through, Mabel has a playful little spark — every now and then she gets these adorable bursts of puppy energy that make everyone smile. And when she’s done? She’s a champion napper, happiest curled up in her cozy bed in the kitchen. She also does well in a crate and finds comfort in having her own little space. Mabel is still learning the basics — stairs, leash walking, and housetraining — but she’s trying, and she’ll get there with patience and routine. She’s a gentle, sensitive girl who enjoys people and would love a calm home where she can be pampered the way she always deserved. She’d do well with another friendly dog and would be fine with older, quieter kids who understand her pace. Rambunctious little ones aren’t really her style anymore. Gemma is a 6-year old Bichon Frise-Poodle mix and a former puppy mill mama who is now discovering the comfort and safety of home life. She is a sweet, gentle and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than curling up with her foster sister, or snuggling on the couch with her people for a cozy movie night. Gemma is currently trained to potty on a pee-pad, but she will also go potty outside when taken out. Consistency in a routine is key for her! She also does walk on a leash, but seems to prefer to be carried when she is in a space that is unfamiliar to her. She does beautifully on car rides! She is dog-friendly and would do best with another calm adult dog in the home for both comfort and confidence. She may be overwhelmed by a dog who is high energy or a puppy. Gemma is on the anxious side due to her past so situations can be scary- especially if there are stairs involved. Gemma needs a more quiet and calm family who has patience, love and reassurance to help this sweet girl feel safe.
