Name: Cleo Breed: Bichon Poodle MixDOB: 10/14/2017Weight: 11 lbs. Sex: Spayed Female Hi, I’m Cleo. My world recently changed when my owner passed away, and that’s how I ended up here. I’m very good with other dogs and cats, but I can be hesitant and shy at first—and who could blame me? Everything I knew was suddenly turned upside down.I’m somewhat housebroken and would do best in a quiet, calm home where I can take my time learning to trust my new humans. I’ll need patience, kindness, understanding, and lots of love. In return, I promise to be a loyal and grateful companion once I feel safe again.  If you are interested in adopting Cleo, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or message the page if already pre-approved.1767992073512blob.jpg ##2629878##

Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs to their new home leaving January 15th 2026 to the east coast from where we are located here in Southern California. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Belle to our trip for the right home! As always for our adopters peace of mind we never ask for anything up front! Her adoption fee, along with her adopting families share of travel costs will be due the day we arrive in person with Belle ultimately finalizing her adoption. Belle is a gentle, thoughtful little soul with a heart that simply needs the right person to feel safe enough to fully shine. Born on 7/4/24, she weighs 12.5 lbs fully grown, a petite Bichon–Poodle mix with a soft presence and an even softer heart. Belle came from a loving family who adored her deeply, but her world was kept fairly small. Because of that, she can be cautious by nature with people she doesn’t yet know. She isn’t fearful or shut down — she just takes a moment to observe, process, and decide when it feels right to open her heart. Thankfully, that moment doesn’t take long. With a little patience and kindness, Belle blossoms into a joyful, affectionate, sweet girl who loves deeply once she knows she’s safe. Earning her trust is time well spent — her love is sincere, loyal, and incredibly rewarding. She is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines, and had a wonderful exam with our veterinarian. Belle did show signs of mild allergies and was given a Cytopoint injection to help relieve those symptoms. She was in heat at the time of her spay, which required longer anesthesia and an in-heat spay increase, and she also received an antibiotic injection to support her recovery. She handled everything beautifully and has done very well moving forward. Belle is house trained and does great following a consistent routine. She goes outside when asked and has thrived on our structured schedule of every 3–4 hours, which we strongly recommend continuing in her next home. She is crate trained and currently sleeps peacefully in her crate at night, though she would likely transition easily to a bed beside her person — or even in bed — as she is happiest being close to those she loves. She is leash trained and truly enjoys her walks, especially trips to the park or playground. Belle is a total people-watcher and will happily sit beside you on a bench, quietly observing the world while you tell her all about it. She loves being present in life and taking it all in — she just needs someone kind and confident to lead the way and show her that the world isn’t as scary as it sometimes feels. Belle is wonderful with other dogs and loves to play. If you have a sweet canine companion for her to join, she would happily step into the role of sister. That said, being the center of attention as a solo pup would suit her just fine too — she wears the title of princess very naturally. She does well at the groomer, though she benefits from a patient, gentle groomer who understands that trust takes time. Grooming tools can feel a bit intimidating until she knows she’s safe, but once she’s all dolled up and back home, she prances, dances, and clearly knows she looks adorable. Belle loves snuggles, gives the sweetest kisses, and is especially motivated by treats — with a clear soft spot for strawberries and watermelon. She also travels beautifully and is great on road trips of any length. Belle is a true companion — one who will grow alongside her person, gaining confidence with encouragement, consistency, and love. She doesn’t need perfection, just someone willing to move at her pace and let her heart bloom. Her Adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/belle-1 Belle’s adoption fee covers her spay (including in-heat spay costs), vaccines, microchip and registration, veterinary care, allergy treatment, antibiotic injection, as well as the months of care, training, and grooming she has received while with us.

Story
Milo was born April 1, 2019 and weighs about 25 lbs.  He is a normal, very happy, excitable guy when there are things going on and then when the fun ends and the day is done he is very much a lap warmer.  Milo has had pretty good vet care and previous records came with him.  The records show that he has taken Fluoxetine for some time, but not for more than a year as likely he has calmed with age.  He was purchased as a puppy by an elderly woman that lived in a nearby mobile home park and we feel he was just a normal young dog in a living environment not suited to his needs.  The elderly lady passed away and Milo  moved in with her daughter and another small dog and they became best of friends.  Then, sadly, this woman became physically unable to care for both dogs and they came to us to find them new, appropriate, homes.  Milo's vet work also shows that he has multiple dermal masses that were aspirated and tested to be sebacious cysts and skin tags and the owner was told just to monitor them.  Milo is said to be lovely house trained and will sit by the door when he has to go potty.  He does pull on leash some likely due to not having been walked much as a puppy and with enough off leash exercise in his next home we hope that gets better.  He does really well on car rides and he is good at the groomers.  He is mostly non shed so he will need routine grooming appointments to keep him from being matted and to keep the hair out of his eyes.  He does love to be combed by his human and knows 'comb' and when you are done with one side he'll happily flip over so you can do the other.  Milo was raised around great grandchildren that are 12 now and he's always done well, but he does get bouncy when excited and may bark.  Milo does bark some, not obnoxiously, but he wouldn't be good in an apartment.  Of course, getting enough activity helps with this also.  He does love toys and tends to steal and collect and sometimes he will growl at his sister over them, but nothing more.  His paperwork says he's a King Charles mix, but we sure don't see it and likely would have guessed him Poodle/Bichon.  So, this is Milo, very loving to his humans and loves to be close and hug!  Is he for you? The Adoption Fee for this dog is $__500.00______. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. Good with dogs,
Story
Well hello there! We’re Lacey and Lilac — a mother-daughter duo with matching hearts and wagging tails. I’m Lacey (darker markings), 8 years old, and my daughter Lilac (lighter markings) is 4½. We’re Bichon/Jack Russell mixes, about 17 pounds each, and we’ve been side by side our whole lives. Wherever one of us goes, the other follows — whether it’s curling up on the couch, going for a walk, or greeting new friends with happy tails. We’re sweet, loving, and full of personality. We adore people, are great with kids, and get along well with other dogs. We both walk nicely on a leash and love exploring together, but we’re just as happy snuggling up after a stroll. What we want most is to stay together. We’ve been each other’s comfort through everything, and we couldn’t imagine being apart now. If you’re looking for twice the love, twice the joy, and two perfect companions who already come as a team, we’re your girls! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
