Sadie will do best in a home that has another dog there who can help her build up her confidence. She is a very sweet and very smart girl who has realized that not all humans are bad. She lovingly seeks attention for cuddles and loves to snuggle up and watch TV with her person. Sadie is also finding out the joy in playing with toys! Her foster mom is actively working with her on walking on a leash with her harness as well as on potty training- but she's a smart girl and is doing very well! All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts. Meet Mabel — Ready for Her Sweet Retirement Mabel is a 10&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old Bichon who was recently released from a life of making puppies. She arrived in our care in pretty rough shape, but with gentle handling, good food, and a much&#226&#128&#145needed grooming, she’s finally discovering what it feels like to be loved and cared for Despite everything she’s been through, Mabel has a playful little spark — every now and then she gets these adorable bursts of puppy energy that make everyone smile. And when she’s done? She’s a champion napper, happiest curled up in her cozy bed in the kitchen. She also does well in a crate and finds comfort in having her own little space. Mabel is still learning the basics — stairs, leash walking, and housetraining — but she’s trying, and she’ll get there with patience and routine. She’s a gentle, sensitive girl who enjoys people and would love a calm home where she can be pampered the way she always deserved. She’d do well with another friendly dog and would be fine with older, quieter kids who understand her pace. Rambunctious little ones aren’t really her style anymore. Her recent grooming made her feel like a brand&#226&#128&#145new dog — she looks adorable and feels so much better! She’ll need regular grooming to keep her comfortable and looking her best. Gemma is a 6-year old Bichon Frise-Poodle mix and a former puppy mill mama who is now discovering the comfort and safety of home life. She is a sweet, gentle and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than curling up with her foster sister, or snuggling on the couch with her people for a cozy movie night. Gemma is currently trained to potty on a pee-pad, but she will also go potty outside when taken out. Consistency in a routine is key for her! She also does walk on a leash, but seems to prefer to be carried when she is in a space that is unfamiliar to her. She does beautifully on car rides! She is dog-friendly and would do best with another calm adult dog in the home for both comfort and confidence. She may be overwhelmed by a dog who is high energy or a puppy. Gemma is on the anxious side due to her past so situations can be scary- especially if there are stairs involved. Gemma needs a more quiet and calm family who has patience, love and reassurance to help this sweet girl feel safe. As stated above, we prefer she goes to a home with another adult dog with a gentle temperament. She may start shy, but once she feels safe she truly begins to blossom into a little cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be close to you.
