Adoption Application: https://www.cognitoforms.com/New2URescues/AdoptionApplication. Dogs will be spayed/neutered through us prior to finalizing any adoption. ********If dog/pup is showing as available it is available. Please do not email asking if it is. Submit application to meet dog if interested - yes an application is required******** Meet Gemma! Gemma is a 6-year old Bichon Frise-Poodle mix and a former puppy mill mama who is now discovering the comfort and safety of home life. She is a sweet, gentle and affectionate girl who loves nothing more than curling up with her foster sister, or snuggling on the couch with her people for a cozy movie night. Gemma is currently trained to potty on a pee-pad, but she will also go potty outside when taken out. Consistency in a routine is key for her! She also does walk on a leash, but seems to prefer to be carried when she is in a space that is unfamiliar to her. She does beautifully on car rides! She is dog-friendly and would do best with another calm adult dog in the home for both comfort and confidence. She may be overwhelmed by a dog who is high energy or a puppy. Gemma is on the anxious side due to her past so situations can be scary- especially if there are stairs involved. Gemma needs a more quiet and calm family who has patience, love and reassurance to help this sweet girl feel safe. As stated above, we prefer she goes to a home with another adult dog with a gentle temperament. She may start shy, but once she feels safe she truly begins to blossom into a little cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be close to you. If you would like to meet this adorable dog an application must be filled out: https://www.cognitoforms.com/New2URescues/AdoptionApplication We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs. All our dogs have been treated with de-wormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 months or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption. We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts. You can learn more about our rescue and process at www.new2urescue.org or find us on Facebook. You must be 25 yrs of age or older to adopt through us. We are in the Rochester NY area and adopt dogs out to area residents. We are registered in NY State with the Dept of Agriculture RR #033 and a registered 501c3 Non-Profit

Story
Name: Luna DOB: 6/18/23Breed: Bichon/Toy Poodle MixSex: Female (Spayed)Weight: 10lbsLocation: Buffalo, NY***Fence Required / No Children under 12***I’m Luna, a retired mill mama. I spent the first 2 1/2 yeas of my life as a breeder dog, thanfully I was surrendered to this amazing rescue. I’m learning what it truly means to be a dog.  And wow!    I am a certified lap dog!   I love cuddling up with my foster mom!    I also love following her around but never get underfoot.   I love strawberries and blueberries!   What a treat!   And with my meals I get a dollop of low fat yogurt!   Scrumptious!  I have been working really hard on my potty training and as long as I’m kept in a schedule and you read my cues, no accidents!   I’ve learned my name and run when I am called!   I love the snow!   Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this!   I also like to talk to those squirrels.  I think they want to play with me!   Here’s the deal though, this world is still so new to me and I’m still learning.   I would do best in a home where I can continue to be allowed to learn and explore at my own pace!   In return I will give you all the love and snuggles you could want!   Crate trained Good with dogs and cats Good with older, respectful kids (no small children)Life has gotten so much better!   All I need is my forever homeIf you’re interested in adopting Luna, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved ##2614906##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Miranda will be available for adoption! She’s a 4&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old Bichon who came from a breeder and is settling beautifully into her foster home. Miranda is a happy, gentle girl with a sweet personality. She enjoys being around other dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and loves treats—she’s very food&#226&#128&#145motivated! Miranda is still learning housetraining and isn’t leash&#226&#128&#145trained yet, so a fenced yard is preferred. She currently uses potty pads and is doing well. She can be a little barky when excited, but overall she’s a loving, friendly companion who’s eager to please. Miranda has been professionally groomed and will need regular grooming throughout her life.  Miranda would make a wonderful addition to a patient, caring home that can continue helping her grow and feel safe. Miranda is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $475 We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.
