Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Say hello to Crystal! Crystal is a beautiful 4-year-old Bichon who was rescued from a life of breeding. Because of her past, she has some typical puppy mill tendencies, especially when it comes to people. She is incredibly sweet but very shy—she won’t approach on her own and prefers to keep her distance at first. Crystal is not aggressive, just timid, and she will thrive in a calm, patient, and loving home where she can feel safe. A busy household with children would be overwhelming for her, so she needs a quiet environment. Crystal absolutely loves other dogs and would like another dog in her new home for companionship and confidence. She enjoys having a big, roomy crate as her safe space and spends time happily watching her foster mom work during the day. She is not leash trained and will require a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences). Crystal does not ask to go outside, so her adopter will need to pick her up and take her out. She enjoys being outdoors, especially when the weather is nice, and she is more comfortable using potty pads regularly. Crystal can be barky at times, so apartment living may not be ideal. She is looking for a kind, patient person or family who will give her the time and love she needs to adjust to her new life. With understanding and care, Crystal will blossom into a wonderful companion. She truly deserves that chance. Crystal is spayed, up to date with core vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested neg. for heartworm.  She has also been professionally groomed.  Her adoption fee is $475 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 27, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
Name: Luna DOB: 6/18/23Breed: Bichon/Toy Poodle MixSex: Female (Spayed)Weight: 10lbsLocation: Buffalo, NY***Fence Required / No Children under 12***I’m Luna, a retired mill mama. I spent the first 2 1/2 yeas of my life as a breeder dog, thanfully I was surrendered to this amazing rescue. I’m learning what it truly means to be a dog.  And wow!    I am a certified lap dog!   I love cuddling up with my foster mom!    I also love following her around but never get underfoot.   I love strawberries and blueberries!   What a treat!   And with my meals I get a dollop of low fat yogurt!   Scrumptious!  I have been working really hard on my potty training and as long as I’m kept in a schedule and you read my cues, no accidents!   I’ve learned my name and run when I am called!   I love the snow!   Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this!   I also like to talk to those squirrels.  I think they want to play with me!   Here’s the deal though, this world is still so new to me and I’m still learning.   I would do best in a home where I can continue to be allowed to learn and explore at my own pace!   In return I will give you all the love and snuggles you could want!   Crate trained Good with dogs and cats Good with older, respectful kids (no small children)Life has gotten so much better!   All I need is my forever homeIf you’re interested in adopting Luna, please apply at www.716paws.org/adopt or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved ##2614906##

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This cute little boy is ANDY, he was named Raggedy ANDY because he looks so bad full of mats and overgrown hair.  He had been on the streets a long time by no fault of his own.  Someone on a street in San Antonio knew him and his owner.  His owner died and the family put poor ANDY on the streets.  The neighbors felt sorry for him and would take turns feeding him.  Once the winter got cold on a 26 degree night, a friendly neighbor put a sweater on him and allowed him to sleep in their gargage but that neighbor too tossed him back on the streets.  Another neighbor could not stand it any longer and called me to take him in. It took 2 days to groom ANDY with the hard mounds of mats on him and he just sat there very quiet and patiently waiting to get all of the stuff off of him.  Pictures are available. ANDY is 2 years old and 18 pounds and a great little guy.  He really likes following me around but he is pretty independent, not a velcro dog although he does like to cuddle and be close to watch TV.  He walks very well on a leash and does not get car sick and of course he still very well for a bath and to be groomed which he will need to be groomed about every 6-8 weeks. He gets along with the other foster dogs, crate and potty trained.  If you are interested in adopting ANDY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         June 15, 2025, 12:14 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This stout short & stocky guy reminds me of a heavy and strong TANK so that is what I named him.  He is 35 pounds and a medium-small dog that is 5 years old and just built sturdy and solid.  He has a bit of Shih Tzu in him with that Terrier.  Now his personality is just the opposite, he is sooooo well-mannered with a curious behavior.  He follows me around like a student waiting for me to guide him and teach him what to do.  TANK is mellow, very quiet and just goes with the flow.  He never bothers the other foster dogs and they do not bother him.  He is crate and potty trained, walks well on a leash and jumps right in the car ready to go wherever. This guy would be a great first dog or a dog for someone who is not that active because the daily maintenance on him is very low.  He does enjoy a leisurely walk though because he likes to sightsee. We know he is some type of terrier mix but not sure what kind and he will probably need to be groomed every 3-4 months to keep his pretty golden coat looking good. If you are interested in adopting TANK, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.01-21-2026  THIS GUY IS STILL LOOKING FOR A HOME, HE IS A WONDERFUL AND WELL-BEHAVED DOG.  THANK YOU. This stunning, smiling little guy is ROCK.  Maybe I should not say little as he weighs a whopping 25 pounds, which is kind of big for a Shih Tzu but he is that.  The vet says he needs to lose at least 20.  He is 4 years old. ROCK was an owner surrender to a small Texas shelter from the son of an 83 year old man who has dementia.  We are hoping to place ROCK in a home that he'll be happy and keep that glowing smile!  He is in a foster home with other dogs as we do not have a shelter.  I do not have any cats so I do not know how he would do with them. ROCK likes to hang around you but he is independent and quietly follows you around the house.  He is not a barker unless he wants something.  I do not have a doggy door, I just let the dogs out of my backdoor every few hours for a potty break and that is the word I use 'Potty.' Even though he has not missed a meal, he does enjoy breakfast and dinner time!  He walks well on a leash, rides in the car without getting sick and would make a good companion for anyone.  If you are interested in adopting ROCK, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
