I’m Rugby, and I’m 9 years old. I’ve lived a pretty quiet life as the only dog of an older lady who loved me very much but could no longer care for me. When I first met my foster brothers, I was reserved and kept to myself. Eventually, I realized it was more fun to join in, and now I enjoy hanging out and playing with them. I get really excited when my foster dad comes home. I jump up and down with the rest of the bunch. I even get excited when he leaves, because that means we all get treats! I’m a little picky with food. Unlike the others who gobble up anything in sight, I know what I like. I’m not really a lap dog, though I might stay there for a little while. I’m a pretty quiet guy and only speak up once in a while. I may be 9, but I still have plenty of love and life to share. **Please note that Rugby needs a small friendly dog already living in the forever home chosen for him. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. *There are no exceptions to this. These requirements help ensure that Rugby adjusts well and thrives in his new environment. Linus is approximately 4 years old and weighs about 18 pounds. Linus is a very sweet energetic boy. He loves attention and is very loving. He loves his toys and enjoys playing fetch. He gets along great with his foster sister. They love to chase each other around and wrestle. Linus rides in the car like a champ! He has a good time running around in the backyard doing zoomies. When walking on a leash, he does well but likes to sniff everything. Linus knows his basic commands - - no and sit. He is friendly and kind to human visitors. Linus sleeps in bed with his foster mom and foster sister. He likes to take naps on the couch. He is housetrained at his foster home. Linus will make the perfect addition to any family. He is a sweet adult who thrives on affection. He’s a little reserved at first, preferring slow introductions, but once he decides you're worthy, he offers abundant love and is eager to please. He gets along with other dogs in the house just fine but isn't much of a player; he is happy to coexist peacefully and save all his playfulness for his human friends. We are currently working hard on house training. Buddy is making great progress with a consistent routine but needs a patient family to help him master this skill. He would be happiest in a home where someone is present much of the time to offer consistency and companionship.
