Story
I’m Rugby, and I’m 9 years old. I’ve lived a pretty quiet life as the only dog of an older lady who loved me very much but could no longer care for me. When I first met my foster brothers, I was reserved and kept to myself. Eventually, I realized it was more fun to join in, and now I enjoy hanging out and playing with them. I get really excited when my foster dad comes home. I jump up and down with the rest of the bunch. I even get excited when he leaves, because that means we all get treats! I’m a little picky with food. Unlike the others who gobble up anything in sight, I know what I like. I’m not really a lap dog, though I might stay there for a little while. I’m a pretty quiet guy and only speak up once in a while. I may be 9, but I still have plenty of love and life to share. **Please note that Rugby needs a small friendly dog already living in the forever home chosen for him. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. *There are no exceptions to this. These requirements help ensure that Rugby adjusts well and thrives in his new environment. Story
Elf is living up to his name! He’s a joyful little blast of cuteness! He loves to run, jump, climb and explore and your attention! Then when he has had his fill, he can easily lay down and relax close to his person for a snooze. He makes the cutest little grunt noises when he’s happy, and snores a tiny piglet snore when asleep! He seems to be living his best life every day from his happy tip tap toes dance he does when it’s meal time, to throwing his toys in the air to catch them for himself, to sleeping on his back with all four legs up, he’s an adorable teddy bear of a dog who will make you laugh and give you lots of love! He came in as a stray of the city and was injured by what is assumed was a dog attack. He can bark, whine and pull when bigger dogs are barking at him. He's approximately 2 years old and he has puppy behaviors that he is quickly learning aren’t polite, like stealing foster mom's shoes for a little nibble! However, he has shown he is incredibly trainable and will do just about anything for a treat! 100% housebroken in his foster home, can be crated when doing errands, and is becoming a great leash walker. He is a silly goofball that likes to be held like a baby and takes his toys outside to potty with him. If you’re looking for a fetch partner, trail walker, and snuggle buddy companion, Elf is ready for his forever home! Elf will require a home with a small, young, friendly resident dog already in place. Children in the home must be at least 10 years old. These requirements are not flexible, as they are essential to ensuring that Elf transitions safely, adjusts successfully, and thrives in his new environment. Bear is progressing with his housetraining. He responds well to positive reinforcement, especially praise and treats, and will continue to thrive with consistency and encouragement. His treat‑motivated nature makes him a willing learner. Bear is a loving boy, likes to sit on a lap, and be close to his particular person. He’s very friendly! He likes to go for rides. Linus is approximately 4 years old and weighs about 18 pounds. Linus is a very sweet energetic boy. He loves attention and is very loving. He loves his toys and enjoys playing fetch. He gets along great with his foster sister. They love to chase each other around and wrestle. Linus rides in the car like a champ! He has a good time running around in the backyard doing zoomies. When walking on a leash, he does well but likes to sniff everything. Linus knows his basic commands - - no and sit. He is friendly and kind to human visitors. Linus sleeps in bed with his foster mom and foster sister. He likes to take naps on the couch. He is housetrained at his foster home. Linus will make the perfect addition to any family. Hubble is the most affectionate and loving little dog ever. He is happiest near his humans who can reciprocate his love and devotion. Hubble is about 4 years old and came in to rescue as a stray. He is house trained in his foster home. He gets along well with his foster brothers and has gotten more playful as he’s been in a stable environment. He loves his food and treats. He weighs about 9 lbs., but he should fill out a little as he has more regular meals. He is a happy dog! He walks well on a leash. Sometimes he sleeps on a dog bed and sometimes he sleeps on the human bed with his foster brothers. In the morning, he likes to lay right next to his foster mom and fall back to sleep with his head near hers. He is pure love and snuggles. He hasn’t been introduced to cats or kids in his current foster home. Please note that Hubble will need a small friendly dog already living in the forever home chosen for him.
