Story
Sassy is looking for a loving home. This sweet senior girl was surrendered to a shelter when her owner fell ill and could no longer care for her. We brought Sassy to our rescue in December, and since day one, she has been an absolute sweetheart. Sassy is 13 years old and weighs 11 pounds. She is a very calm, easy going girl. She gets along well with all the dogs and people she's met. She's very docile; we imagine she'll be more comfortable in a calmer environment with a family that just wants to love her and keep her cozy. She has a grade 3 heart murmur, which does not require any medication at this time, but she'll need an echocardiogram in 6 months to recheck. Sassy had infections in both ears and needed drops, as well as ointment for her eyes. She's feeling much better, but her future family should monitor her for recurring ear infections. Sassy is eating a prescription kidney diet due to protein found in her urine. She loves food, and we have not observed any food guarding. Jingle Provac is currently in Rhode Island and looking for a ‘furever’ home! Jingle is a sweet 3 yr old, 11 lbs  Maltese mix pup that we rescued from a shelter.  He was found as a stray.  He is very sweet, but can be nervous at times.  We are looking for a quiet, calm home for him. He will need time and patience to learn to trust again. A quiet adult only home would be best for him as he gets startled easily with loud noises. Someone who either works from home or part-time would be ideal for him as he loves to be around people.  He does love to snuggle and is also affectionate. He likes other calm dogs. A fenced yard is  preferred, but not required. Jingle is great with other calm dogs. He does need to be neutered and we provide a voucher for neutering. **Due to clinic delays: this puppy will be available for adoption with the collection of an additional $100 spay/neuter voucher deposit, which will be refunded upon receipt of successful procedure at our partnering clinic.   If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.   If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today!
