You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Zelle, or cash only. donate@yorkierescuehouston.org or, if you prefer: our fundraising platform, Zeffy Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.   breed is best guessNO SENIOR CITIZENS PLEASE We pulled Posey from a local shelter who was 'rescue only' due to her severe urine burns and infected pustules.   We got this girl cleaned up and on medication.  She's been to the groomer and is learning how to be a beloved pet.  She was clearly left to stew in her own waste.  She needs a home that can help her learn how to eliminate outside, walk on a leash, and be a good family member She is a high energy dog.  She needs a stay at home parent who can help her with potty training.   She needs a yard to run in, so no townhouse/apartment applicants please. ****************************************** Posey was found to have an ectopic ureter with severed ureteritis and pyelonephritis. She underwent major surgery, known as Nephrectomy and ureterectomy. All that to say she needed her internal plumbing re-routed!!   She has recovered from this surgery and is still learning how to hold her bladder.  She will need help with potty training ----------------------More from foster: Posey is doing great and rarely have any potty accidents.
