You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Charlie, a 17-pound Bichon Frise with a heart full of love and an incredible story of resilience. Born around July 8, 2021, Charlie was tragically thrown over the fence onto our property late one freezing night, matted and terrified. Thankfully, a staff member of ours spotted him and ensured his safety.  Despite his rough start, Charlie has blossomed into an affectionate and gentle companion. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs until feeding time.  He has to be fed separately.  This is  very common for dogs that are left to fend for themselves.  They want to make sure they don't go hungry.  Charlie isn't a fan of cats, unless they come with crackers and a little bit of picante sauce.  So his idea home will not have a cat.  Charlie loves people.  Charlie’s sweet nature and resilience are sure to win your heart. Charlie’s adoption fee is $400, which includes his neuter, heartworm-negative test, up-to-date vaccines, and prevention (ProHeart and Bravecto). He’s currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we are unable to transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. She arrived matted from head to toe and had to be shaved down for her comfort and health. As her coat grows back, she’ll benefit from professional grooming to help her feel her best again. She’s a Shih Tzu–Dachshund mix with a rough beginning, but you’d never know it from her spirit. Matcha is a super sweet girl, gentle, loving, and so grateful for every bit of kindness she receives. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start fresh with a family who will cherish her. Percy is a 2-3 yr old Shihtzu mix weighing 15 lbs. He is from the Pearsall shelter and came to our rescue completely neglected. He is a good boy and loves to sit on his hind legs and give prayers in his crate. haha. He gets along with everyone in his group, especially the ladies. Percy is heartworm negative and Chagas positive but don't let that deter you. With treatment, Chagas is fully curable, and dogs go on to live long, happy lives. Tracy’s Paws is one of the first rescues to test every dog for Chagas, and we’ve had measurable success with our treatment protocol. We are also committed to educating adopters and the public about Chagas so even more dogs can be helped.
