Story
Meet Hugo!Hugo is a gentle and affectionate 10-year-old dog. He barks only when he needs to go outside. Hugo is not crate trained, and he becomes very distressed when confined in a crate. He finds comfort in sleeping on his cozy orb bed, which is his only designated resting spot. Most of the time, Hugo is calm and relaxed, and loud noises like fireworks do not bother him. During the day, he stays on a dog mat in my office and follows you everywhere, demonstrating his strong attachment to his special person the one who cares for him. Hugo sleeps peacefully through the night. Although he is blind in his left eye, he navigates his surroundings with confidence and ease.To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Harlan! Harlan is a handsome 8-year-old registered Bichon Frise who is looking for a loving new home through no fault of his own. His owner dearly loves him but is no longer physically able to provide the care he deserves and will soon be moving into a senior apartment. Harlan is current on all of his vaccinations, heartworm negative, regularly groomed, and recently had a clean bill of health at his annual veterinary checkup. He also has a transferable Banfield Wellness Plan for his new family. While Harlan can be a little cautious when meeting new people, once he gets to know you, he quickly becomes an affectionate, loyal little love bug. He is wonderful with children, gets along well with other dogs, and is very sociable. Harlan is fully potty trained, lets you know when he needs to go outside by barking at the door, and can comfortably make it through the night without needing a potty break. He is also content staying home during the day while his family is at work. He has never been crate trained because he has never needed one and happily sleeps in his own bed each night. He’s a little overweight at the moment, likely because he hasn’t been getting his usual twice-daily walks for over a year, but with regular exercise and a healthy routine, he should slim down nicely. Harlan’s owner is able to continue caring for him until the right family is found. Her greatest wish is simply to find him the loving, forever home he deserves. If you think Harlan could be the perfect addition to your family, please contact Allie’s Haven Animal Rescue to learn more.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 11, 2026, 6:37 pm

Story
Phineas is such a sweet and happy little boy! Full of energy and so affectionate. He hasn’t met a stranger and is usually the first to greet you at the door, trying desperately to jump up for some attention. When he’s in your arms, he is squirmy with excitement and showers you in kisses. He can be a little guarded when meeting new dogs but warms up within minutes. Once he feels comfortable with the dog, it’s game over. He loves to play and snuggle with them, and he’d love a canine companion to continue that with in his forever home. He is also a big fan of cuddling with his people and has puppy-eyed his way into sleeping in bed at night. Phineas hasn’t had a single accident in the house and will even go to the back door to let us know he needs to go potty. He also caught on to kennel training very easily, but we certainly get an earful each time we return home. True to his breed, he has found his voice, so he wouldn’t be suited for apartment living. Phineas has been such an easy addition to foster and always makes us smile with his happy-go-lucky attitude. He is such a wonderful little puppy who will make his forever family very lucky!” Phineas is 5 month olds old and weighs 8 lbs. We DNA tested his brother and per wisdom panel, he is a mix of 8 different breeds with the top breeds being 50% Chihuahua, 22% Shih Tzu and 17% Miniature Poodle. He is expected to weigh between 11-22 lbs when full grown. If you’re interested in adding him to your family, please submit an adoption application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2762289##

Story
When Ziggy first came to Rescue Row, the world felt like a scary place. New people made him nervous, and his instinct was to protect himself by snapping. Thanks to patience, consistency, and ongoing training, he’s learning that people can be trusted.Over the Fourth of July weekend, Ziggy reached a major milestone. His foster family had several guests over, and each person followed the same training techniques that have helped build his confidence. Instead of reacting with fear, Ziggy stayed calm and accepted the visitors into the home. His foster family was amazed at how well he handled the situation. He’s also developed a special friendship with the grandmother who visits each week. Watching him happily greet someone he once would have been unsure of is a great reminder of how much progress he’s made. When he’s not working on his confidence, Ziggy is a fun, happy little dog. He loves his daily walks, chasing tennis balls around the backyard, wrestling with his dog friends, and collecting every ball he can find. He has plenty of energy for adventures, but he’s just as happy curling up in your lap at the end of the day.Ziggy also loves car rides and is learning that the best place to enjoy them is safely buckled into his car seat.Ziggy is looking for a forever family that will continue helping him grow. He will do best in a home with another playful dog, someone who is home most of the day, and a family committed to continuing the training that has helped him succeed. Because of his needs, he is not a good fit for apartment living or as an only dog. He would also do best in a home with children 12 years and older.Ziggy is a 9 month old Miniature Pinscher/Shih Tzu mix who weighs just 8 lbs. He’s come a long way, and now he’s ready to find the family that will love him for exactly who he is. If you’re interested in adopting Ziggy, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org.
