Krystal came to us as a former breeder. She has spent the last few months learning how to live in a home, to play with other dogs and to trust.  She enjoys going on short, slow leash walks and riding in the car.  Her sweet side is definitely showing along with her willingness to engage more and more with her foster family. She was born on 05/04/2021. Krystal is now ready for her forever home. She needs a family that will continue to build her confidence and expose her to new experiences. Time and patience are the two things that she needs the most.  If you feel you can give these to her, please consider adding Krystal to your family.

Heathcliff is a 1-2 year old 9 pound neutered male Maltese/Havanese mix.  Neutered, current on all vaccines, heart worm negative, microchipped crate trained and working on house training. Heathcliff is still learning about the world and will need a family that understands the time, patience and commitment that comes with a young adult dog. This will include potty training, learning basic commands, regular exercise, and lots of play time. Heathcliff is very curious and likes toys so make sure you have lots of toys to help him grow into a well manner adult dog. Heathcliff would do best with a dog his size, age and energy level. He loves to play. His breed will need regular grooming. He needs a fence he cannot see through. He is an escape artist, and we need to be monitor closely when doors open and close.   If you are ready to welcome this sweet boy into your home and help him grow into the best dog, he can be, I would love to meet you. If you are interested in meeting Heathcliff please submit an adoption application.      Adoption fee is 275.00       We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Meet Texas “Tex”! Tex is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu–Maltese mix with soft, silky curls, a snowy white coat sprinkled with warm brown spots, and a heart as big as his name. At 28 pounds, he’s the perfect size for couch cuddles, cozy evenings, and being your constant little shadow. Tex’s world changed suddenly when his beloved dad passed away, and his mom had to move into assisted care where pets aren’t allowed. With no family able to take him in, this sweet boy was lovingly surrendered to Legacy Humane Society in hopes of finding a forever home where he can once again feel safe, cherished, and part of a family. Despite everything he’s been through, Tex’s gentle spirit shines. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and happiest when he’s close to his people—whether that’s snuggling during a movie marathon or simply soaking up attention. He gets along well with other dogs and does okay with cats, too. He’d do best in a home with older kids who understand his need for a calm, loving environment. Tex is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He’s currently healing from a mild skin infection—likely brought on by stress—but he’s already improving with treatment and just needs a little TLC to be back to his best. More than anything, Tex is looking for a forever family—one that will love him as deeply as he loves in return. He doesn’t just want a home… he wants to belong. Could this sweet, soulful boy be the missing piece of your family?
