Story
Bastian was rescued as a stray in the small town of Tlaquepaque, Mexico where he was abandoned by his previous owners. Since he was rescued, he has shown a balanced disposition. He has a loving and playful temperament. He gets along well with other dogs and kids. He would thrive with a family that has the time and commitment to be with him and take him places. A fully fenced yard is preferred.

A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from several commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of the midwest. Of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. If we don’t help we know they will end up getting euthanized because the breeders are done with them. These innocent souls lives was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. They were one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total 6 lives including Oatmeal. All Oatmeal had known was being a breeding machine & making money for this breeder until he was done with her. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Oatmeal how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Oatmeal & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This sweet girl has seen it all. Her foster mum has built trust with her in such a short amount of time & now trusts her. She lets you pick her up & carry her around to see what is going on. In her loving foster home she has made leaps & bounds as when she first come home she clearly did not have a clue about what it was to be in a loving home. In her new home of course that new bond would need to be built. She is fostered with one of her friends Buttermilk a shi tzu who was also a breeding machine & these pair adore each other & came off the same property together. So they find comfort in each other with this big new world they are experiencing together. The reality is, the foster homes are her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. Having now the ability to go outside freely has been an adventure for her. Oatmeal is a wonderful eater & is not shy about eating & has not been since the day we got her & rescued her. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not get to experience ever until she was rescued. She currently sleeps with her foster siblings & will want to sleep in bed with you. She is such a sweet girl who just wants to be loved & to make up for her past. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She has now done so amazing with her baths & being groomed as of the day we wrote this she now just relaxes & lets you trim her with scissors & a shaver. She clearly now become comfortable. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash but is learning but has slowly learned to walk on a slip lead. Update: Oatmeal was adopted but was returned because she was not potty trained & the adopters vet said she was damaged. These poor sweet souls need time, patience & understanding. She was in 2 foster homes & both foster homes are very disappointed she was returned. They need longer than 9 days to acclimate to their new environments & someone willing to show compassion. Oatmeal rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be released & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Oatmeal as you can imagine spent the first part of his life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Oatmeal where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Oatmeal is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Oatmeal has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with other dogs & adores other dogs in her loving foster home. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for her to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Oatmeal is roughly 11.4 lbs & she is roughly ‭3 years old & a female bichon‬. She has put on weight since being in the rescue. What she is mixed with we are not sure, she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, she had a major dental with a scale & polish & dental x-rays. She had 3 molars & 1 incisor removed. She is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHPP, leptospirosis, bordatella & dewormed. We have spent far more on Oatmeal with her flight to WA with her travel costs in Omaha. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Oatmeal has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Oatmeal was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Oatmeal’s friends & she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Oatmeal potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Oatmeal & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Oatmeal who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for the special sweet little Oatmeal. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Oatmeal has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

With beautiful Nebula she was used over & over again as a breeding machine & spent her life in a cage. These innocent souls lives were instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. She was one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Nebula. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Nebula how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Nebula & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This girl is a very special girl. We noticed instantly she is the guardian angel of the group. She watches to make sure nothing is happening to her friends, the other mums. It’s as if they are her babies. She has one of the nicest & sweetest personalities we have seen. She lets us pick her up & she is so sweet & innocent & such a lovely little lady & wants you to love her & be affectionate with her. She is so easy go with the flow type of personality. She absolutely adores her 2 friends she came with, another bichon & a Maltese. Everything is all so new to her & she is learning how she should have always been cherished. We also tested her in a daycare environment & she has done well in that environment. The reality is, the rescue is her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. The fact too that no one can ever be cruel to her ever again. She was shaved down to the skin & we see the breeders do this when they are so very matted so it’s only beginning to grown back in. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not ever get to experience ever until she was rescued. She currently sleeps with her friends who we rescued together. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She is good with being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. Believe it or not she just lets you do anything to her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. Since we have had her she has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Nebula rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us. Story
Albie is a chill 11-12 year old senior looking for his new home. He spends most of his day napping and when the sun is out, looks for spots to sunbathe. He came to us from a shelter when he was estimated to be 1 year old with most of his habits already developed. He is food motivated and protects his food. He does not play with toys and not interested in a toy unless food is involved. He is not very active and loves to be petted every now and then. Unfortunately, with our life changes we are unable to give him the attention he needs and deserves. He is fine at the vet but hates the groomers so you will need to be able to groom him yourself or find a groomer that will work with anxious dogs. He is potty trained, but because he is getting older, he does have occasional accidents, especially when he is excited. He knows basic commands such as sit, down, and paw. He prefers to lounge indoors and does not pay much attention to other pets or kids unless they take his food.

Story
Hello, my name is Fannie. As you can see I am an older girl. The vet doesn't really know my exact age. I am about 12 lbs. My owner whom I was with for about 3 years. Unfortunately she had to move into a nursing home, and I came back to my rescue group. Speaking of nursing homes, that is basically what I am looking for too. I don't walk fast. I can’t see too well, maybe shadows. I have to go to the bathroom fairly often. I still love to sleep a lot. I enjoy my food. I enjoy being held and cuddled. I like to feel the sunshine when I go out on pretty days. Since I am small and cant see to even get away from anything, I do need someone to go outside with me. My rescue was not planning on getting me back, and they cannot give me the support I need. I really need someone home more often than not. I need to be able to go out frequently to use the bathroom. The vet said my heart sounds irregular, and they want me to have a very expensive test done. We found this out when my rescue took me in for a dental and checkup. They could not do the dental because I need the heart test. So in a perfect world, if someone could afford to take me to the vet that would be next level. I am ok with a happy, clean place, with warm arms to snuggle in. Oh, and I also need to be groomed occasionally and have a few bumps that make it a bit difficult, so any groomer has to know they are there, and to not leave me on the table as I will walk on off since I can't see. I hate my feet being groomed, and my rescue didn’t want to stress me out, so they are a bit fuzzy. Even if someone does not want to go forward with the extensive vet care due to my other conditions, as I said, I really just want attention and love and care in my later part of life. Even if that is a short time. Someone to spoil me for the time I have left. After you email my rescue, they will send you an adoption application. Once they get that back they will schedule a meet and greet so you can meet me in person. There is also up to a 2 week trial so you can make sure you fit my needs.
