Story
Est. DOB: 04/05/2018 Current Weight: 26lbs Adoption fee: $495 (Adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate current vaccines, microchip, and preventative flea treatment.) Zip is a lovable Lhasa Apso mix who is ready to find a new family to call his own. This sweet boy has spent his entire life with one owner, but sadly, due to his owners health, he now finds himself looking for a new home. Zip is friendly with people and is a gentle, affectionate boy who loves attention. Since he has never lived with children, cats, or other dogs, he will need slow, patient introductions to help him feel comfortable and confident around new furry or human family members. Zip does have dry eye and will need ongoing care to keep his eyes comfortable and healthy. But dont let that stop you from getting to know this wonderful little guy—he has so much love to give! Zip is looking for a loving family who will give him the time, patience, and affection he needs as he adjusts to this new chapter in his life. In return, hell give you plenty of love and companionship. Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Since we cannot always know the exact breed mix of our rescue animals, the information provided is simply an educated guess. Story
This special little guy is RYAN. He is a 1 year old, 12 pound Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu mix who is simply a loyal lover. He is looking for someone to return his love. RYAN gets along with other dogs. I do not have cats so I am not sure how he would do in a cat home. RYAN was found in a very rural area with GROVER, a 1 year old male Chihuahua. They are best buds but they do not need to be adopted together. It would be nice but not necessary. He is not a barker and does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He was a hot mess of long matted hair when found but he was a true trouper while being groomed. He allowed the groomer to handle him and make him look gorgeous and feel better. If you are interested in adopting RYAN, please submit an application on the website below. Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org

Story
Meet Barfi, a sweet, playful pup who's always ready for her next adventure—but she's just as happy entertaining herself with a toy or curling up for a cozy nap. She's the kind of dog who will happily join in on the fun and then settle down for some quality cuddle time afterward. Barfi has been friendly with the strangers she's met in her foster home, has done great with the smaller dogs she's been introduced to, and has lived peacefully with one cat (whom she’s desperately trying to befriend). She hasn't met any big dogs yet, but she's approached every new experience so far with curiosity and enthusiasm. She's a voracious eater, an enthusiastic playmate, and an expert cuddler all rolled into one. She's also a quick learner who’s already picked up leash walking with impressive speed. Food motivated and eager to please, she's excited to keep learning. Barfi is doing great co-sleeping overnight with her foster brothers. She's become comfortable with brushing and handling, and she loves being outside in any weather—even the rain! Whether your home is bustling with activity or a little more laid-back, Barfi is an adaptable little pup with a happy personality and so much love to give. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion who's equal parts playful and snuggly, Barfi might just be your perfect match. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
