Story
----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
We'll also keep you updated on Lexi's adoption status with email updates.

Thank You for your cooperation*** Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes in WA state, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, or cash. We no longer accept PayPal because of the percentage they take & their fees but if the potential adopter wants to pay the fees we will accept PayPal. The call was put out for the need from several commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of the midwest. Of course they always want money for some of the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. With beautiful Lexi (Galaxy) was used over & over again as a breeding machine & spent her life in a cage. These innocent souls lives were instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. She was one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Lexi. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Lexi how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Lexi & her friends were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. This girl is the biggest sweetheart once she knows you. She looks straight into your soul & she will follow you around once she knows & adores her dog friends & another bichon she came with but with snuggle with her foster siblings. She will lay her head on them. She has one of the nicest & sweetest personalities we have seen. She lets us pick her up & she is so sweet & innocent & such a lovely little lady & wants you to love her & be affectionate with her. At first she would run away from her foster family in the home. Everything was all so new to her & she is learning how she should have always been cherished. We also tested her in a daycare environment & she has done well in that environment but prefers to be in a loving home. The reality is, the rescue is her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. The fact too that no one can ever be cruel to her ever again. She was shaved down to the skin & we see the breeders do this when they are so very matted & she had skin issues that we have almost resolved & it took us a long time to get her fur to grow back in & get her skin healthy. Lexi eats a clean raw diet of different proteins, fruits, vegetables, grains & supplements. When it is time for Lexi to be fed she will be sitting near her foster mum waiting for her food now. She enjoys bully sticks & collagen sticks along with her homemade treats. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not ever get to experience ever until she was rescued. She currently sleeps with her friends who we rescued together. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She is good with being bathed & groomed & enjoys the hairdryer. Believe it or not she just lets you do anything to her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. In her foster home she gets to go outside in a backyard but does not staying out there to long. Lexi also loves a good outfit & is used to wearing one. Lexi rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Lexi as you can imagine spent her life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Lexi where someone is home during the day or she can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Lexi is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Lexi has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with her friends she came with. She will be found snuggled up with them. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for her to thrive in. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard if you have a freestanding home. Lexi is roughly 14 lbs & he is roughly 7 years old & ‭a bichon‬. What she is mixed with we are not sure. Female, she is spayed by our wonderful vets, she is microchipped, had her shots, including DHPP, bordatella, leptospirosis & rabies. But once these shots expire we do not redo them as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs & just do rabies. She had a dental scale & polish & dental x-rays. Lexi has an umbilical hernia & we see this a lot with the breeding dogs. Our vet decided to leave it as it. Ors not affect her. We have spent far more on Lexi with getting her from a commercial breeder & cleaning up what he did to her. Bringing her to WA with her travel costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Lexi has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have had her around small children & she adores them but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Lexi was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Lexi’s friends & siblings she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Lexi potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Lexi & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on. Or you waste this rescues time, will remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit via WebEx or Zoom due to covid & followed by a meet & greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Lexi who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for the special sweet little Lexi. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Lexi has an adoption fee of $1250 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.

Story
Meet Hey, a one-year-old spayed female Poodle-Bichon mix with a soft cream coat and a heart ready to bloom. Weighing in at just 5kg, Hey was rescued from a breeding facility in Geoje and has come a long way since. Once fearful of people and unsure of human touch, she’s now blossoming with those who take the time to earn his trust. These days, she’ll happily take treats from your hand and even trot over to say hello once she feels comfortable. While she might run off when you try to pick her up, she doesn’t resist once he’s in your arms—she settles in calmly, making her a gentle cuddle buddy. She’s also wonderfully behaved for grooming and bath time. Hey is a total social butterfly when it comes to other dogs. She loves meeting new canine friends, no matter their size, and will often approach them with friendly tail wags and an invitation to play. Having another dog in the home would be a huge help in her adjustment to family life, especially since she’s never known life without doggy companionship. She hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but based on her easy-going nature, she may very well be able to live peacefully with feline friends too. With a moderate energy level, Hey enjoys the outdoors but knows how to relax and recharge afterwards. She’s currently learning how to walk on a leash—right now, she tends to freeze up when it’s clipped on, so she’ll need some patient guidance. She’s not possessive with food, whether it’s around people or other dogs, and is used to both indoor pee pad training and outdoor potty time. Because she’s never lived without other dogs around, she may experience some separation anxiety, and she does tend to bark a little when meeting unfamiliar people out of fear. But with love, time, and gentle encouragement, Hey has all the potential to grow into a confident and affectionate companion. All she needs is a patient family ready to cheer her on through this next chapter of her life. View more photos and videos on Facebook: Link to Post Does Hey sound like the right companion for you? Send in your application today here or through our website:adoptmekoreanrescue.org/adoption-application/ AKR dogs can arrive at Vancouver or Toronto airport and may be able to arrive at some US airports (Seattle, LA, NY, Boston, etc) where we have flight volunteers. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!!  My name is Cody from Korea and I am a wonderful approx. 2 year old male Bichon Frise.  I am about 6 lbs. and hoping to find a forever home.  I am friendly and was saved from an illegal Breeding Farm in South Korea.  I was rescued with many others by local activists from the horrific conditions we were in.  I fought to survive every day and was so badly neglected.  Korea kills an estimated 1.5 -2 million dogs a year to be eaten.  I just want a chance to be part of a family and for someone to love and care for me.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will come to your home and help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,795 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.  A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an AirTag from us.  The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  We do not guarantee the breed and age of the dogs.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.  Please e-mail at  admin@gingerspetrescue.org  for an adoption application. Story
✅️Currently located in South Korea✅️ Meet Noah🤍 Noah was rescued from a breeding facility along with Aji and Aki by Adogs and adopted later. He was returned to Adogs due to the untimely death of his adoptor in September 2024. Noah is looking for a family in order to overcome the sorrow of being apart from his family and live a new life. * With People: Is extremely friendly and loves both familiar and new people. Actively approaches for pets and affection, showing his sweet and affectionate personality. * With Dogs: Is very social and gets along well with both dogs he has lived with and new canine friends. Generally coexists peacefully but may show a bit of cute jealousy if another dog gets all the attention. * Separation Anxiety: Waits quietly and peacefully when his foster leaves the house. Remains calm when left alone with other dogs or people. * Potty Training: Has a 100% success rate with pee pads but tends to go near the edges of the pad. Using a fenced pee pad area helps keep his aim accurate. Prefers to poop outside rather than indoors. * Hygiene: Stays calm and tolerates baths, drying, and brushing without any issues. * Walks: Does well on a leash without pulling and naturally matches his handler’s pace. 💌Special Notes💌 * Briefly barkis when a stranger enters the house—this usually lasts only a moment. Normally about 5 minutes, but on high-energy days, he may bark for 20-30 minutes. * Gets excited at mealtime and tends to eat quickly, so he benefits from slow feeding techniques. ❗Health Condition❗ * Neutered. * Others: Microchipped, underwent surgery for bladder stones and had molars extracted. * Has cataracts in his left eye, currently being monitored with eye drops. * Experiences hearing difficulties. Story
Meet Bebe!! Bebe was rescued from illegal puppy mill by Dorothy Rescue(ADOGS's partner rescue) Behaviours from foster home : Bebe is a very loving and affectionate boy who longs to be cherished by his family. While he may be shy at first, given some time, he will bloom like a sunflower! He gets along well with other dogs and is very gentle with them. Although he hasn't had a chance to meet any cat friends yet, his foster mom believes he would also be gentle with them. When meeting strangers, he can be a bit timid initially. He’s not aggressive; he just needs some time to adjust to new family members and environments. Please be patient as he becomes more comfortable with you! :) Although he’s a little apprehensive about bathing, he manages well and enjoys being brushed. He has excellent grooming habits and good walking manners. He is pee-pad trained with an 80% success rate and is making progress! Bebe is not a big barker and is a very calm boy. He may experience a bit of separation anxiety, but he only howls for about 3 to 5 minutes before settling down. While he isn’t a fan of being in a crate, he remains calm when asked to stay there. Though he may be a bit shy at first, Bebe is such a sweet, calm, and affectionate boy who loves to be cuddled by his family. Would you be his loving pawrents who will spoil him with affection? Allergy/health issues : He hasn’t shown any allergic reactions and behaves well at the vet. He is a healthy, perfect, and loving boy! *Please send all inquiries to @everlove8282. *Please submit your applications through the application form on our Instagram profile! Our team will carefully consider each of your applications to find the perfect forever homes for our dogs. *As all of our dogs are currently in South Korea, there will be an adoption fee of 700USD + customs fee (if applicable) for each dog.
