Story
Leroy came to us from a NC shelter where he was in immediate danger of being euthanized. Several wonderful dogs lost their lives due to lack of space on the day we tagged him as a TRU pup. Leroy's foster calls him "pretty amazing! He is not very vocal (surprising for a hound!) but has lots of energy and is very playful. He loooooves kids and long walks! He is house trained too. He will be a great family dog as long as he gets his exercise!

Baby Clementine was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia. She is staying with a nice foster family while searching for her forever home. Could that be with you? Clementine is your typical loving, playful and friendly puppy. She does GREAT with other dogs and loves everyone she meets. At her young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization. She will make a wonderful companion for an active person or family. Please remember that young babies require a lot of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Submit an application today and change this beauty's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. FRISKIE is a beautiful black & tan female puppy… possibly a black & tan Hound or Shepherd of some type. DOB 1/10/2024. We don’t know any of her history. She and her sister were found alongside the road in the country. Both pups are very friendly…and FRISKIE was the one that made it easy to catch them. She was the first to say hello and her sister followed her. FRISKIE is a leader. She has learned quickly that it’s a lot of fun to jump into the person’s lap and go for face licks. She will be a medium-sized dog when grown… possibly 45-55#s. She will probably be great with a family with kids…or someone who wants to do a lot of activity such as hiking, boating, etc. FRISKIE is a keeper. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
