This adorable little fella came to us all the way from Georgia. He is your typical puppy, friendly, outgoing, and playful. At his young age, Baby General is in his prime for training and socialization, and he will make a wonderful companion for years to come. Baby General is looking for a forever home where he can continue to grow and learn. Please keep in mind, puppies need lots of love, patience and attention to become the best adult dog they can be. Submit an application today and change this sweet boy's life forever! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
URGENT Foster mother has medical issues, and he must be moved asap! Let me introduce Ralphie! This awesome guy was abandoned in the woods when he was still a puppy – left to die young, scared and alone in the middle of nowhere. He is extremely sweet. Very friendly, never meets a stranger and loves absolutely everyone he meets. He still has a puppy spirit and needs activity & exercise - playtime is also high on his wish list! He would be great for an active family that hikes or runs, as long as there is cuddles and belly rubs too. His leash walking is coming along well but he does need a firm hand. Like others of his breed, he can be quite vocal. He gets along well with other dogs if he is properly introduced and has time to warm up to them. He has been hunted and showed promise but has not really been trained to hunt. He will be much happier as a loving family companion. We also transport every weekend to a destination near you, alternating between the Northeast and the Great Lakes. We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/oscar/ Hello. I am Oscar. No, I do not have a hot dog named after me. No, I'm not a grouch from Sesame Street (although I do have my moments), and I'm not the messy Oscar from the Odd Couple. I am Oscar the hound. A redbone coonhound to be precise. Since I am a hound, my nose leads the way on long walks. I am great with other dogs. I especially love to relax outdoors in the sun and I am house trained. I also know basic commands and take treats well. I love car rides! While I am primarily good-natured, I can be protective of food, toys, and objects that I think are mine. I would do best in a home with no children and a strong experienced owner. A few other things about me. I do the "Oscar dance to make a pitch for some yummy treats. Also, I always, always have a smile on my face. I love low-key living and know a great home is out there for me. Come and visit to see my Oscar dance, and let's get to know each other! If you have the experience and are looking for a dog to hang out on the back porch and bath in the sun. I am the Oscar for you.

Story
Hi! My name's Anjea! While living on the streets of Louisiana, I unfortunately picked up some illnesses and was even shot with a BB gun. Lucky for me, I was rescued just in time to have my 6 pups! Thank goodness!! My foster family has already helped me feel better and ensured that my puppies got adopted by wonderful families. While I have a foster home of my own, I'd sure like to find my forever family! I'm learning all sorts of good behaviors and trying my best to go potty outside. Sometimes, I have accidents, but I'm getting better. I love playing tug-of-war, chasing tennis balls, and chewing on bones. Although I am pretty playful, I'm also always down for a good nap in bed, on the floor, or in my crate. I do have a tendency to be a little too curious, so sometimes I accidentally run into the electric fence or try to get food from the counters. There are lots of amazing new smells at my foster house, which have led to me rolling in the grass. My foster mom doesn't like the new smells as much as I do, so my adventures have resulted in some not so fun showers. I love and appreciate everything my foster parents, siblings, and doggy sisters have taught me so that I can be the best girl for you. If you're looking for a cuddle buddy who is super sweet and loves to play, I'm your girl!!
