Story
Pecan is a sweet and gentle giant. She loves to lounge around in our laundry room and is often found snuggled up on her dog bed. She also loves to cuddle with people and is very affectionate. This laid back girl would surely love a home, bed, or even couch (she's being optimistic!) to call her very own. She loves tennis balls, when she can be bothered to chase them, and she loves to explore the trails here. Pecan is extremely strong, and whilst she generally walks beautifully, if she sees a squirrel, a cat or a deer, it can be quite the work out. We have found that she does really well with a Gentle Leader (head collar), and it makes her look even more like a pony.

Garth is a friendly, mellow boy who is very housetrained and walks nicely on leash. He is calm and quiet in the shelter kennel, ignoring barking dogs and easily passing by on walks. Garth appears to be dog social and shows friendly curiosity to other dogs in the adjacent play yard. Garth leads with his nose and loves to sniff the grounds and slowly explore the surroundings. He also enjoys attention and cuddling, and patiently accepts grooming. Garth is a sweet, affectionate and good-natured dog who will make a wonderful addition to a loving family.

This guy knows tricks! At 5 years old, he learned a lot of commands from his previous owner and he’s happy to show them off. Friendly is the first word most think of when talking about Walker. He’s sweet, cuddly and does well to check-in with you on walks. Speaking of walks, he’s pretty easy going about it. And when he does “run” in a play yard, it’s been described more as an adorable “prance” while playing fetch :) If given the opportunity to play in water, he’s happy to splash around in a kiddie pool. Plus, Walker is motivated by treats and delicate to take them.Walker was raised in a house without children, so he’s not too familiar with being around them. We would want to ensure small kids are respectful and interactions are monitored. This medium-sized guy is ready to be back in a loving home! Come meet, Walker!

Super cute Jimmy Buffet is a friendly, happy boy who quietly waits in his kennel for an exercise break. He appears housetrained and walks well on leash with a harness, although he may pull at times in his excitement for his outing. Jimmy calmly passes other dogs and shows friendly interest with a wagging tail when he sees them. He has a hound dog nose and likes to sniff the grounds and check out the surroundings. Jimmy Buffet is an obedient pup who promptly sits for treats and gently takes them. He is an affectionate and playful young dog who loves his people and is a wonderful companion.
