Meet Peter! Professional napper, belly-rub enthusiast, and certified good boy. Peter is a 9-year-old Basset mix who spent years living on the streets of South Texas. These days, he’s discovered the finer things in life: soft beds, sunny spots, short walks, car rides, and plenty of love. This cuddly gentleman adores his people. When he’s not snoozing, you can usually find Peter following his human from room to room, making sure he isn’t missing anything important (especially belly rubs). Peter is incredibly friendly with people and loves playing with other dogs. Don’t let his age fool you, he still enjoys making dog friends, going on car rides, and having some fun! He also does well with most cats. His perfect day is simple: a short stroll, some sunbathing, a good nap (or three), and plenty of time cuddled up with his favorite person. After spending so many years surviving on his own, Peter deserves a home where he can spend the rest of his days feeling safe, spoiled, and loved. **Meet Boomer! Looking for His Forever Home!** Everyone meet Boomer! This handsome boy is approximately 6 months old and we believe he may be a Black Mouth Cur/Basset Hound mix, although we aren't completely sure of his breed. Boomer is such a sweet, easygoing pup with a wonderful personality! He absolutely loves being around people and other dogs and enjoys being part of the family. He's doing amazing in his foster home and has already shown just how smart he is! A little more about Boomer: - Great with other dogs- He loves following his foster family's dogs around and playing with them. - Wonderful on walks- Boomer walks right beside you without pulling on the leash and loves stopping to say hello to people. - Smart and learning quickly- By his third day in his foster home, he had already figured out how to use the doggie door all by himself! - Sweet and affectionate- Boomer loves attention, enjoys having company and just wants to be part of the family. Meet Bart! Located in the AUSTIN TX metro area🐾 Since rescuing Bart from euthanasia, he is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite! Love a jolly little fellow who has great house manners, a beautiful bay, and loves other dogs?! Well, so do our fosters, and they have been singing Bart’s praises. Bart is around 3-4 years old, and we are calling him a bagel. He is mostly beagle but slightly long and chunkier like a basset hound. Bart came in as a stray scheduled for euthanasia at animal control due to overcrowding in a small town near the border. His skin was in terrible shape at intake due to flea infestation and possible concrete burns. But he is doing much better now, and we expect his beautiful coat to make a full recovery! Like so many neglected dogs that come into our rescue, Bart is heartworm positive. The rescue will continue paying for his heartworm treatment even after he is adopted. All you provide is a cozy home and love. Bart is a perfect guy - there is just one thing missing - we can’t wait for him to find his perfect family!
