Boone is a very sweet and affectionate dog that LOVES people. He loves to sleep and be lazy around the house! He is really good in public and loves to go in the car and stores. Would love for him to go to a home with someone who wants an exercise companion who can leave him inside mostly. He would be great in an apartment. He’s great at jogging right beside you on a walk / run. He truly loves people and is super gentle with kids. Come meet him! We would be willing to do a trial period. He does NOT like other dogs.

Meet Vivi! Vivi was a favorite of the shelter volunteers, and we understand why! When you meet her, Vivi’s joy is contagious! She is such a happy, polite, and friendly girl 🥹 The shelter listed her as a Boston Terrier / Beagle mix. We say she’s an Oreo hound! We initially thought she was a little older, but our vet believes she is around 5 years old. Vivi is house trained and loves to play but has a mellow and easy going energy. She prefers not to be crated but does fine in the house if you leave her. Vivi’s joy is all the more remarkable when you hear her story. Vivi came into the shelter as a stray, but it was clear that she had previously been living in a home. Shelter staff believed she had been dumped, possibly because she needed medical care. When she arrived at Hound Rescue, Vivi had some swelling in her feet which we have learned was caused by an autoimmune arthritis. After just a few days on inexpensive medication, the swelling is gone. Vivi is feeling great, and we are anticipating she will live a full and healthy life. Now that she is feeling better, this girl is ready for her second act! She truly deserves her happy new beginning, and we are so excited for her to find her forever family. Please stay tuned as we learn more about her.

Meet Autumn 🍂 Autumn is a dainty chocolate beagle mix with amber eyes, a love of kisses, and a whole lot of personality packed into 21 pounds. At an estimated 9 months old, she’s playful and energetic, then happy to curl up close for a snuggle. She’s very friendly with other dogs and has done well indoors, with no accidents in her foster home. Autumn sleeps quietly in her crate all night. When left alone, she may voice her opinion for a few minutes before settling down. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines. Autumn would love a family ready to enjoy all the fun, curiosity, and sweetness of a young beagle mix. 🍁
