Story
Boone is a very sweet and affectionate dog that loves people. He loves to sleep in and be lazy around the house! He is really good in public and loves to go in the car and into stores. He is normally fine with other dogs but he can be food aggressive and has gotten in fights with only one of our other dogs only when food is around. We have little kids and it scares them. He's also very good at digging and gets out of the yard very easily. Our kids and family are in and out of the gate and doors constantly and he will slip by and run off. He stays on a tether so he doesn’t run off. Would love for him to go to a home with a better walking / exercise routine for him. Our other dogs are very fulfilled running around on our little farm but Boone is not. His nose takes him too far every time. Come meet him! Take him for a walk. He’s super sweet!

Meet APPLE FRITTER! Currently located in AUSTIN TX What could be more perfect than a senior beagle?! Just look at this perfection! At 14 years old, she was surrendered to a high kill shelter after her owner passed away. We rallied to save her, and every volunteer who meets her falls in love. Apple’s foster says she is the perfect girl with so much life in her. She is crate trained, loves people and dogs and cats, and walks lovely on a leash. She loves stuffed toys and doggie buddies. Apple received a thorough work-up at our vet and is in good health given her age. She is hard of hearing but otherwise does not have any major concerns. The vet thinks she has golden years ahead of her!

ADOPT SKY! AUSTIN TX Sky is around 3 months and 12 pounds of pure puppy joy! All the volunteers are smitten 🥰 We don’t know her parents but think Sky is a beagle mixed with something fluffy. Sky has a fluffy coat and the prettiest blue green eyes! Plus, the sweetest little freckles 🥹 Sky has an easy going personality. She loves fetch and running in the backyard. She’s also very affectionate ❤️ She’s been working hard on her potty training. She also does well in her crate. As her foster says, Sky is the total package! Sky came to us from a shelter. She had minor kennel cough, which is all cleared now. A huge thank you to everyone who donated to help with her and her sister’s medical bills.

Meet Dove! INCOMING HOUND ALERT! MEET DOVE! AUSTIN TX! We just brought this 20-pound angel in from a shelter near the border. Dove has the cutest personality! She adores people and other dogs. She made the trip with a coonhound, and the two were instant best friends. She also could not wait to meet all the people and dogs at the vet’s office. Dove was listed as a beagle terrier mix. She has a short and super happy wiggly tail. She is so happy around people that her whole body wags. Dove has mild hip dysplasia and is heartworm positive. Thanks to our incredible donors, the Rescue will pay for her treatment even when she is adopted.
