Story
Bailey is a big, goofy Bloodhound who is an absolute sweetheart. I was told he is full-blooded and up to date on shots, but I cannot personally confirm either. I took Bailey in temporarily from a friend whose aunt had to move into assisted living and could no longer keep him. He came with a young female Catahoula, and while she has been manageable, Bailey is just too much dog for my current home situation. He is sweet, loving, and has that big Bloodhound personality, but he is also large, goofy, and still learning his size. He accidentally knocked down my youngest daughter, and now she is scared to come to my house while he is there. Because I have young kids and do not have them full-time, I need to make sure my home feels safe and comfortable for them. Bailey would likely do best with someone who has large-dog experience, plenty of space, patience, and understands Bloodhounds. He is not a bad dog at all. He is just a big, lumbering loveball who needs the right home.

Story
Turkey Meatball is a big, gentle sweetheart who absolutely loves people. His signature move? A slow, full-body “melt” into anyone kind enough to give him attention—on walks, at home, anywhere. It’s as soft and endearing as it sounds. This affectionate boy is convinced he’s a lapdog and will happily stick by your side for cuddles as long as you’ll let him. He can get a little excited when meeting new friends (he just loves people that much!), but he settles quickly into his favorite activity: leaning in close and soaking up all the love. Turkey Meatball already knows some basics like “sit” and “down,” is learning house manners in foster care. He is very food-motivated—so continued training should be a breeze. After a rough start, he’s ready for a home filled with consistency, kindness, and plenty of cozy moments. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will make every day feel a little softer, Turkey Meatball is your guy.

Story
Star Boy brings a sporty, athletic energy to every day, showing off his natural agility whenever he gets the chance to move. He is a truly active companion who completely transforms when he steps out into the open yard, running with a free, energetic stride that shows how much he loves to exercise. When he is having a blast, his tail points straight up like a happy antenna, signaling his pure joy in the moment. His beautiful brindle coat catches the light as he moves, highlighting a lean and athletic build that makes him a natural partner for outdoor adventures. While the busy shelter environment can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming for him, Star Boy finds his confidence through movement and structured activities. He attends playgroups with other dogs, using that social time to channel his focus and burn off energy with his peers. Once he feels secure in his surroundings, his curious nature comes forward, and he enthusiastically accepts treats from his human friends. You might notice he currently has a condition known as a "cherry eye." While it gives him a unique look right now, it is completely harmless, painless, and not life-threatening. Our team already has a medical plan in place to get it surgically repaired; however, because the scheduling might take a little while, he is fully available to transition into a foster home or be pre-adopted while he waits for his procedure. He is a responsive and spirited young dog who thrives on routine, outdoor play, and space to explore, making him a wonderful match for someone looking to share an active lifestyle. Connect with us today to find out how you can support this athletic boy on the next step of his journey.
