Story
Trusty is a big, soulful Bloodhound who has clearly been through more than his fair share—but true to his name, he’s still holding on and hoping for kindness. When Trusty arrived, it was obvious life hadn’t been easy. He came in thin, covered in ticks and dirt, with painful swelling in one of his front legs caused by a large abscess. He also has serious eye issues, including severe entropion (his eyelids roll inward), which has caused chronic irritation and discharge. Right now, our medical team is working to determine the best path forward to make him comfortable—whether that means surgical eyelid repair or another treatment option.Trusty is also heartworm positive and likely dealing with some arthritis in his back legs, which can make it hard for him to sit or stand comfortably. In short, this sweet hound has a lot going on medically—but none of it has taken away his quiet resilience. What Trusty needs most right now is time, patience, and TLC. New environments can be overwhelming for him, and he’ll need someone who can help him slowly decompress and learn that he’s safe. A calm home, gentle handling, and a soft place to rest will make a world of difference for this sensitive boy. Bloodhounds are known for their loyalty and gentle nature, and with the right person by his side, Trusty has every chance to show just how special he is. This big-hearted boy doesn’t need perfection—he just needs someone willing to give him a chance, a soft bed, and the patience to help him feel safe again.

MEET JINX! Jinx is a stunning and well mannered 1 year-old bluetick coonhound! Jinx was adopted from the shelter a year ago and was brought back due to her family facing unforseen personal hardship. Because she was living with a family and other dogs, Jinx is very social and potty trained. She also sleeps great in her kennel. Jinx is very friendly with people but is not clingy. She also likes other dogs and is getting along great with the smaller dogs at her foster home. It is hard to talk about Jinx without mentioning her beauty. She has hazel eyes and the prettiest red and blue ticking - she is everything a true hound lover could ever want. We think you get the picture! Jinx is a total catch and ready for her perfect home! Stay tuned as we learn more about her.

Story
Cookie Cuddles is the sweetest soul you may ever meet - truly. She's wonderfully low energy, not interested in long adventures of busy chaos. She prefers to do her business and then promptly return to her rightful place...the couch. There are no antics here. No mischief. No zoomies. Just soft eyes, gentle presence, and a quiet desire to feel safe. Cookie gets along beautifully with well-matched dog friends, social in a calm, respectful way, happy to coexist without drama. What Cookie Cuddles wants is simple: A lap, a soft place to rest, and a home where love is quiet and predictable. When she trusts you, she melts into you - the kind of cuddler that will bring peace just by being there. Her best match will be a calm, low energy home with someone patient and steady - someone who understands that some dogs just need consistency and kindness. Cookie isn't here to entertain, she's here to be cherished, and to love you back in the softest, sweetest way.

Story
A Gentle Soul Learning What Full Feels Like Turkey Meatball is a brown-and-white, medium mixed-breed boy who looks like he’s been carrying a lot on his heart. He appears to be about 6 years old and is very skinny, suggesting that for a long time he may not have known when his next meal was coming. He was abandoned, and his story is still unfolding with us, but even in these early days, his sweetness shines through. Despite everything he’s been through, Turkey Meatball remains gentle and kind. He looks like a dog who wants to trust and is hopeful that better days are ahead. He seems to know how to sit and does so in his own endearing way, with his legs spread wide, adding a small moment of charm to an otherwise sad chapter of his life. Turkey Meatball looks like a dog who is understandably hungry, both for food and for care, patience, and reassurance. He is very new to us, and we’re still learning who he is, but so far he appears to be a soft-hearted boy who didn’t give up on people, even when people gave up on him. He’s ready for a calmer, kinder chapter with someone who can offer consistency, compassion, and the comfort of never wondering where his next meal will come from again.
