Story
Bailey is a big, goofy Bloodhound who is an absolute sweetheart. I was told he is full-blooded and up to date on shots, but I cannot personally confirm either. I took Bailey in temporarily from a friend whose aunt had to move into assisted living and could no longer keep him. He came with a young female Catahoula, and while she has been manageable, Bailey is just too much dog for my current home situation. He is sweet, loving, and has that big Bloodhound personality, but he is also large, goofy, and still learning his size. He accidentally knocked down my youngest daughter, and now she is scared to come to my house while he is there. Because I have young kids and do not have them full-time, I need to make sure my home feels safe and comfortable for them. Bailey would likely do best with someone who has large-dog experience, plenty of space, patience, and understands Bloodhounds. He is not a bad dog at all. He is just a big, lumbering loveball who needs the right home.

Finnegan might look like a tough guy, but he's a big softie who just wants to snuggle up with his person! He's the full package - smart, handsome, affectionate, and funny. He's an excellent houseguest - noted to be potty trained and polite, great on leash and in the car. Finnegan is enrolled in APA!'s Total Obedience Program, and has a dedicated trainer working with them on obedience skills. The Total Obedience Program (TOP) is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. Those skills include learning to sit when approached by strangers, calmly walking past another dog, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "Place", which means they will go to a specific place in your home on command. As a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA! staff to continue to build a training relationship with them after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together.
