Story
We found Daisy in November 2022 at about 6 weeks old. We tried to locate her owner without success, took her to the vet and got her shots. When we found her we did not have any other dog in the home but had plans to take in a puppy that Christmas. At the age of heat, they started fighting and cannot be together unless leashed or crated. Daisy is a very sweet dog and listens well. She is an active dog who spends her days running and loves water. When she gets excited she does tend to bark and is a bit of a jumper. She is easily corrected, loves human contact, and does not show aggression towards humans. She spends most of her time outside, but enjoys hanging out inside with humans, including active kids. She is crate trained. We really do not want to get rid of Daisy but know that is what is best for her. She would do best in a home where she can interact with family and go outside to let out energy. We hope to find a family to love Daisy as much as we do.

Story
Brownie is a four year old black mouth cur/catahoula cattle dog. She is housebroken and a well behaved pet in the home. As is common for the breed, she can be a little timid and spooky with new people initially, but warms up very quickly with a calm introduction. She has never lived with small children and given her skittish personality, we think she would do best with older, calm children only. She is a little shy intitially with new dogs as well but warms up easily and has successfully been in doggie play groups. With a polite other dog and slow introductions she would make a good companion for another dog. No cats.  Adoption fee $150, includes:Dog spayed and current on vaccinations.30 days of free pet insurance through MetLifeA free "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail trim at ScenthoundFree training support for the life of the pet, including group classes. Story
LONGEST RESIDENT!  Hi! I'm Mustard. I don't know how much you know about Florida curs - but 2/3 of every litter of true Florida Cur Dogs are born with a bobbed tail, just like mine! People seem to love my nubbin wags! Florida Curs are a very special, active, working line dog - I come with a lot of energy, but am also an amazingly fun and silly class clown. If you're looking for an active companion to hike, adventure and train with - I'm your guy! Mustard is a 2-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is very energetic and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but is A LOT of dog and needs firm boundaries or he plays too rough, for this reason we are recommedning him to an adult only home with handlers who are physically strong and set good boundaries.  Adoption fee REDUCED $50, includes:Dog spayed and current on vaccinations.30 days of free pet insurance through MetLifeA free "clean start" bath, ear cleaning, teeth brushing and nail trim at ScenthoundFree training support for the life of the pet, including group classes. Story
Cali is 10yrs old, she is so affectionate, playful and truly enjoys just being around people especially kids. She loves dogs too especially the smaller ones! Her personality is 1 of a kind, extremely smart, house trained and a sweet affectionate big baby. She takes meds for her thyroid, 1 pill in the am, 1 at night. Her med is fairly cheap and lasts about 2-2 1/2 months all done online through VetSource. I’ve had cali since she was 10months old but due to many unexpected life circumstances and personal things I’ve had to resort to this option. I’ve been fighting this for a long time but things are difficult and I need to do what’s best for us both. I would really love for her to be with a family especially kids but it’s not necessary. She just really loves being around people I can’t emphasize that enough. This is so tough. It would help so much that she is adopted by other(s) that will love her, take care of her and give her a happy and safe home. She’s really truly is an amazing dog.
