Meet Ruby. She is a mix between a black mouth cur and something we're not quite sure about. She does need to be the only dog. We have another dog that we've had for 7 years and the younger just requires one on one attention. We have tried for 1.5 years and we just have had no luck. She loves to be the center of attention and it has caused our other dog anxiety to the point he won't come up for pets anymore. She is spayed and up to date on shots. No fleas, ticks or heartworm. We give her a monthly pill. She is 2.5. Born in September-ish She absolutely adores playing catch and loves having a big back yard. Very full of energy. She is potty trained, and crate trained. She's very excitable when meeting new people, and will bark and jump, but calms down in a minute after sniffing 😅 She loves to cuddle. She is a blanket dog and not dog bed kind of dog because she likes to rearrange her blankets to her liking.

Don’t let my powder sugar face fool you; even though I am 9 years old I still have plenty of play left in me. I wake up every morning with a generous tail wag and an even more generous smile. I am housebroken. I am not an escape artist. I love going for my morning walks. I am not a cuddle bug yet but I’m working on it. I am good on a leash and I’m working on stopping and sitting at every corner to make sure there is no traffic. I have learned some basic obedience commands. My favorite activity is laying out in the sun soaking up the rays with my foster parents outside. I also enjoy my Kong filled with whipped cream. I am good with MEN and WOMEN, but I am not good with other dogs, especially SMALLER DOGS. I have not been around CATS.

Hi! I'm Mustard. I don't know how much you know about Florida curs - but 2/3 of every litter of true Florida Cur Dogs are born with a bobbed tail, just like mine! People seem to love my nubbin wags! Florida Curs are a very special, active, working line dog - I come with a lot of energy, but am also an amazingly fun and silly class clown. If you're looking for an active companion to hike, adventure and train with - I'm your guy! Mustard is a 2-year-old, 58 lb, Black Mouth Cur mix looking for his forever family. He is UTD, neutered, microchipped, house trained, and walks well on leash. He is crate trained, and is not destructive when left loose in the house. Mustard is very energetic and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. He is not good with cats and needs work on his social skills with other dogs but has a lot of potential to do great with them. He is too hyper and playful for smaller kids and would do best in an older kids home. Please note, Mustard is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Unlike my namesake, I require no gas or oil, and the payback is lots of luv, which has no price tag. At the moment I'm parked at spcaflorida's large dog kennel and looking for a human with wheels to drive me to my furever home. Playful, affectionate, and cuddly describe me accurately. Fill my toy box with soft, stuffed animals and I'll luv them as much as I luv my humans. My human family tree should consist of only adults. You can pet me all over and I'll be ecstatic and snuggly or I'm happy to just lay at your feet and enjoy the sunshine. Full disclosure: I'm afraid of vacuum cleaners, thunderstorms and young 'uns. I've been treated for heartworms but no worries anymore!
