Rosco is a brown male Black Mouth Cur mix. He is approximately 4 years old. Rosco is a calm boy but gets excited around people. he has been around people and kids above the age of five. Rosco loves all kinds of toys and loves to play fecth but doesnt like to bring the toy back. He likes to play with stuffed toys but can become destructive when playing with them. Rosco has a sensitive stomach and sensitive skin and has been eating dry food formulated for them. He loves to eat treats and chew on bones of any type. Rosco is a very smart boy and knows a variety of commands including sit, lay down, give paw, drop it, and come. His favorite spot to sleep in the bed with his owner or with a blanket on the floor. Rosco loves to meet other dogs but can become excitable and a bit rough with them. He has not been around small dogs or cats. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).

We are still looking for a home for 2+ yo, sweet Daisy. She was attacked by 3 pit bulls & after surgery & recovery she has developed some fears. She needs someone who can make her feel safe. She is not afraid of me, but because I am married, work & also have a 2nd dog, I can't devote all of the time she deserves. She is spayed & up to date on all of her shots. She acts incredibly affectionate & wants to be near me at all time but she is leary of my husband, is rambunctious with my senior dog, & if I'm not at her side she can be snappy. She needs more attention & I hope for someone who has the patience to work through her insecurities. She currently lives outdoors, but I believe she'd be happier inside. Please if you're this person, consider taking this dog on as a love project. I know this may not be easy. Meet Luey, he is a fun-loving 5-month-old hound mix weighing about 20lbs. He's brown with an adorable black face you just want to give kisses to. Luey is super sweet and loves attention from his foster family and playing with his brother Huey. Luey is house trained, and kennel trained. Since the puppies are accustomed to playing in a fenced-in yard, we are not adopting them out to people who reside in apartments due to not having a fence in hard. These puppies will be medium to large dogs, and we feel they need plenty of room to play. Potential adopters will need to provide photos of a fenced-in yard. Potential adopters that have a pool, will be required to have a child/pet proof fence around the pool or a pool alarm and will need to show photos. Our dogs are to be family pets not used for hunting or fighting. They are to be kept indoors with exception for being outside for play or walking. We care about the well-being of all our animals even after they leave our shelter. The adoption fee is $250 which includes: *Neutering. *Puppy vaccines (3 sets) *Bordetella vaccines (2) *Microchip *Harness and leash *A week's supply of dry and canned puppy food. *One month's supply of Simparica Trio, flea and heartworm treatment. In addition, we have partnered with Eve Salimbene, owner and operator of Day of the Dog Training, to offer the puppy training packages for $225 which is 50% off the regular price and includes 6 one-hour visits. At about 50 lbs, she’s just a medium sized girl. She is dog-friendly, and both potty trained and crate trained. She is currently fostered with a young child and another pup, and gets along great with them! She met a cat in passing and was interested but not pushy, and did well. Bonney loves to be where you are, loves toys and chew bones, and will happily carry toys around with her. Though she enjoys playing, she is low energy during the day and will happily nap while you work. She loves belly rubs and pets and will gently paw for more. Bonney does well on a leash, but can get a little excited when she sees lizards!   She is a truly special companion, she can't wait to explore the world with you by her side.
