Gerty is a Black Mouth Cur mix with a gentle and sweet nature. She may be a little shy when she first meets new people, but once she warms up, she loves giving kisses and soaking up affection. Gerty is very treat-motivated and enjoys learning and bonding through snacks and positive attention. Since she came in as a stray, we’re still getting to know her personality, but so far she’s shown herself to be a loving and kind girl who just needs a little time and patience to feel comfortable. With a calm, caring home, Gerty is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30-6 Tuesday – Friday and 10:30 – 4 on Saturday (closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month).

Story
Kola is a 7 1/2 year old black mouth cur mix who weighs 54 lbs. She is very affectionate & sweet, a big lap dog. She loves everyone & gets along with dogs of all ages & sizes. Prior to Kola joining our rescue she had 2 small masses removed, 1 came back as mast cell with dirty margins but low grade. Last radiographs were done in September and there were no signs of metastasis. She is currently on a regimen of OTC meds for the mast cell and gets skin flare ups every few months that require Cytopoint injections. She’s spayed, UTD on vaccines & has good bloodwork. Requirements to adopt Kola; * No cats, birds or small furry critters in the home * No kids under the age of 5 living in the home 📧If you’d like to adopt Kola please send an email inquiry to Lovetotherescueinc@gmail.com 📍Located in Wesley Chapel, FL.
