Hi, Im Dexter, and Ive been told Im the kind of dog who makes every day feel a little brighter. Im eight months old, which means Ive got that perfect mix of puppy enthusiasm and growing-up smarts. I wake up ready to go, ready to learn, ready to play, and most of all, ready to belong to someone who will call me their very own.<br/>Im a happy guy-like, tail-always-wagging, whole-body-wiggling kind of happy. I love meeting other dogs because they speak my language when it comes to playtime. Chase games, wrestling, zoomies around the yard-those are some of my specialties. If you already have a canine buddy, Id probably be thrilled to have a built-in partner for my daily adventures.<br/>Now, I should be honest with you. Im still a puppy, and I feel everything in a big way. When Im excited, I can forget that humans dont bounce and wrestle the same way dogs do. Im working on it, though. With a family who can give me structure, consistency, and some training, I know I can grow into the best version of myself. Im smart-really smart-and I actually enjoy learning when someone takes the time to show me what to do.<br/>Because of my excitement and my, well, enthusiastic greeting style, Id do best in a home with kids who are at least five years old. I would never mean to knock anyone over, but sometimes my joy just kind of bursts out of me before I think it through. She enjoys playing, exploring, and chewing on appropriate toys, and she'll benefit from continued training and guidance as she grows. Mochi loves children, enjoys the company of other dogs, and has done well with cats and even chickens in her foster home. Her friendly, adaptable personality makes her a great fit for many different family situations. Despite a rough start after being struck by a car, Mochi received excellent veterinary care and has healed beautifully. She hasn't let that experience slow her down and is now enjoying life as a happy, healthy puppy.
