Hi, I’m Scout! I’m a very outgoing boy with lots of energy and a big personality to match. I love being active, having fun, and being part of the action. If you’re looking for a dog who’s always ready for the next adventure, I might be your guy! I was raised with multiple dogs, so I’m used to having canine friends around and enjoy their company. Whether it’s playtime, exploring, or learning new things, I’m excited to do it all with a family of my own. If I have a committed adopter and/or foster, I can be transported to Petco in Huntersville to meet my future family on January 15th, 2026. He has a big heart and an even bigger personality!  About Ramsey:     •    Temperament: Extremely loving, caring, and super friendly     •    Energy Level: High, playful, loves fetch and outdoor time     •    Dog-Friendly: Great with dogs his size or bigger     •    Training: 100% house-trained, knows sit, come, lay down, and is working on off-leash recall (very capable and eager to learn!)     •    Exercise Needs: enjoys active play sessions and walks      •    Personality: Intelligent, sweet, affectionate, and loyal Ramsey is looking for a forever home that can keep up with his energy, continue his training, and give him the love and playtime he deserves. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Juice (known by his foster as Joey), a neutered 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing about 56 lbs, with soulful eyes and a heart that just wants to feel safe. He’s a sweet, charming boy who’s been through a lot and is ready for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle in and be someone’s whole world. Juice is affectionate, cuddly, and loves his toys, but his favorite thing is quietly hanging out with his person, and he loves resting his head and paw on your arm like his own little love language. He can be shy and wary with new people at first. Slow, gentle introductions help him build trust, and once he does, he is deeply loyal and devoted. Juice played with neighborhood dogs, including a larger husky. His play style was bouncy and rough. He has become more fearful around unfamiliar dogs and prefers his space, especially near his crate. He’s seems to ignores smaller dogs, and would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention. Juice is not cat friendly and will chase, so a cat-free home is required for him. Juice has an average energy level and is happy with moderate daily activity. He does pull on leash when excited and has been working on that. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh correction can cause him to cower and feel guilty. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing, although he does sleep well in there through the night. He’s had some potty accidents. Juice does great in the car but may need assistance getting in. He's always ready for a ride. Juice has only shown some food aggression with other dogs, but with stability and routine he’s made great progress. He eats separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, which is easily managed with respect for his boundaries. Juice would do best in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He’s not a “problem dog” he’s a sensitive soul who just needs the right person to make him feel safe, loved, and chosen. Give Juice that, and he’ll give you his whole heart. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
