Meet Juice (known by his foster as Joey), a neutered 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing about 56 lbs, with soulful eyes and a heart that just wants to feel safe. He’s a sweet, charming boy who’s been through a lot and is ready for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle in and be someone’s whole world. Juice is affectionate, cuddly, and loves his toys, but his favorite thing is quietly hanging out with his person, and he loves resting his head and paw on your arm like his own little love language. He can be shy and wary with new people at first. Slow, gentle introductions help him build trust, and once he does, he is deeply loyal and devoted. Juice played with neighborhood dogs, including a larger husky. His play style was bouncy and rough. He has become more fearful around unfamiliar dogs and prefers his space, especially near his crate. He’s seems to ignores smaller dogs, and would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention. Juice is not cat friendly and will chase, so a cat-free home is required for him. Juice has an average energy level and is happy with moderate daily activity. He does pull on leash when excited and has been working on that. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh correction can cause him to cower and feel guilty. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing, although he does sleep well in there through the night. He’s had some potty accidents. Juice does great in the car but may need assistance getting in. He's always ready for a ride. Juice has only shown some food aggression with other dogs, but with stability and routine he’s made great progress. He eats separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, which is easily managed with respect for his boundaries. Juice would do best in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He’s not a “problem dog” he’s a sensitive soul who just needs the right person to make him feel safe, loved, and chosen. Is anyone looking to add a fur baby to their home? This is Leona! Prior to her coming to me, she was rescued from a kill shelter and then living outside. She would do best in an only dog or with another active dog home with an active family. She does play well with other dogs though. Her ideal family would be an active single or couple as she has tons of energy to let out. She is still learning so older children would be best. She is currently located in Statesville but I am willing to meet anywhere.

This is Frito! Yes, like the chips. He is a loving and playful boy. He spends most of the day lounging around the house but has big energy for play and walks in the afternoon. Frito is house broken but he is still a puppy so requires supervision to not chew on things. He gets along well with his human family members. However, he is not very friendly with dogs. Frito is very very shy at first and takes a while to warm up to new people. Can be bought with treats and once he warms up to you he is a loyal friend.

Hello, Ann is extremely loving and playful. She’d be best suited in a home with children. She is still young, 1 yrs old this month. I did adopt her from a shelter, due to overcrowding the shelters have a waiting list so i want to try & rehome her with someone who will give her the best of love. She is currently not fixed but has an appt in may. Her stature is small but bark is not, so she might frighten smaller animals or small children. She does not bite! She does have that protective nature that her breed is known for. She is house trained but does need more behavior training but she is food motivated.

Meet Ladybug! Ladybug is a playful, curious cuddle bug of a puppy who spends her days seeing what mischief she can get into. She is working on crate training, potty training and basic manners. She is very treat movitvated and has already learned to sit! Ladybug has fun wrestling with her much bigger foster siblings so she would do well in a home with other dogs to play with. She was the only black puppy in the litter but what you can't tell from the photos is that her coat has specs of brown throughout which creates a sort of bronzed effect, especially in the sunlight.
