Story
Francis (France) is extremely smart and high energy. She wants to please. We got her about 4 years ago as a puppy. She had been picked up by a pound truck that found her wondering the street and couldn’t find her owner. We have 3 kids and 2 other large dogs. She has done very well with our kids and our other dogs. Several times we have kept friends’ dogs and she has gotten along with them great. However, she did get into a fight with one dog that stayed with us- it was brief and neither dog was injured. She has chased after our mailman and Amazon guys several times (no bites). There are a couple of human friends we have that she doesn’t like and growls at, so we usually just put her in a crate while they are over. She has to be put to sleep to get her teeth cleaned at the vet. Essentially, she is a great dog in so many ways- we love her deeply- but our family is having trouble managing her due to her high energy and her fairly reactive behavior. She needs more than we can give.

Meet Bella! If you were to look up the word perfection in the dictionary I’m fairly certain you would see her picture next to it. She gets along with everyone. Human, dog, cat you name it, she can coexist with it. She LOVES to be pet, if your hand is resting on the armrest or hanging off the bed you might find her gently nuzzling her way under your hand and pushing her head back and forth to initiate the pats that every good doggy desires.  She can be a little quirky sometimes, for some reason if she isn’t laying next to you on the sofa or trying to con you out of some love, her next favorite place to hang out is in a good closet. She’s kennel trained, and house trained and we are working on being good on the leash.
