That’s JDJ. 🥹🤎And if you’re looking for a walking buddy, this boy is an absolute DREAM! JDJ is a pro at loose-leash walking and will happily match whatever pace you set. People, other dogs, birds, and all the little things happening around him? He takes it all in stride. He’s simply happy to be out exploring the world with his person, and honestly, we think that’s one of the sweetest things about him.JDJ has also participated in our dog playgroups and is incredibly dog-social! He genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs and thrives when he has a canine buddy around. He isn’t particularly interested in the rowdy wrestling matches, but invite him on an adventure or for a gentle game of tag, and he’s all in! He would make a wonderful companion for a family looking to add another friendly pup to their crew! And when it’s time to wind down? JDJ is perfectly content entertaining himself! He keeps his kennel tidy, enjoys playing with his toys, and takes every opportunity to relax. He has such an easygoing nature, making him the kind of dog who can enjoy spending time with you but is also perfectly happy settling in for some quiet time when his humans are busy! Now, there’s one important thing we want you to know about our sweet boy. ❤️ JDJ is heartworm positive, but the Humane Society of New Braunfels Area (HSNBA) is committed to his treatment and will cover the cost. His treatment cannot begin until he has a home, because the shelter environment isn’t ideal for the quiet, controlled recovery he will need. HSNBA will be there to support his future family throughout the process and help JDJ get back to a healthy, happy life! Please speak with our staff about his heartworm treatment. The process may be much easier to navigate than you think, and JDJ is worth it! This boy has so much love to give, and we would love nothing more than to see him finally get the happy ending he deserves. He doesn’t need a perfect family or an extravagant life, He just needs someone willing to give him a chance, a cozy place to call home, and a little help getting healthy! Come meet our sweet JDJ! This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive.
