Surfs up! Say hello to Sand Dune. He parties hard and works harder. He is named after his toasty coat that reminds one of relaxing beach days. Sand Dune may look like any other cute doggie but he's a hardworking man looking for employment! He has a good work ethic and is ready to fetch all the tennis balls. In addition to being a punctual employee, Sand Dune also knows: sit, shake, down, place, stay, here. Additionally, he is crate trained and house trained. He does well on the leash as well. This confident, outgoing boi knows how to let loose after the work day is done. In his foster home he enjoyed walking, jogging, and chewing. The generally active guy is also a team player and loves making human friends. He also has some doggie friends here at APA! Sand Dune is looking for an active family where he can be the only pup and keep sharpening his skills. Ready to employ your new best friend? Talk to a matchmaker today.

Story
Bree’s the oldie with puppy energy—she’s your daily dose of sunshine wrapped in fur! Bree is a big-hearted, squeaker-obsessed superstar who will keep you smiling all day long. Despite her senior status, Bree doesn’t seem to know it—she's got the energy of a pup! She loves squeaky toys, ropes, and stuffed animals, although her favorite game is turning them into fluff explosions. (But don’t worry—your furniture is safe with her!) Bree is a certified cuddle champion who adores giving and receiving affection, always multiplying the love you show her by 10. Toss her a green bean, a cucumber, or (her favorite snack) CHEESE, and you’ll have a best friend for life. Bonus: Bree’s car ride enthusiasm is unmatched, making her the perfect road trip companion. Bree is well-trained, knows commands like "sit" and "wait/stay," and responds beautifully to her name. She’s also house-trained and doesn’t need constant attention—although she’d happily accept it if you offer! Bree thrives on affection from humans and is especially great with adults. She can entertain herself when needed but will light up when it’s time to interact. Because of past trauma, Bree prefers to be the only dog in the home. Walks around other dogs require a little patience, but she redirects like a pro with a simple treat and your guidance. She’d do best in a quieter, low-traffic household—mid-rise apartments or standing homes would suit her well. With her loyal, affectionate personality and manageable needs, she’s ready to become someone’s one-and-only sunshine. Bree is ready to bring love, laughs, and plenty of cuddles to your life. Come meet her today—you’ll never want to let her go!

Available for adoption in TX, PNW and NE! Meet Margo, a 9-month-old Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love! At almost 40 pounds, she'll stay on the smaller side, but her personality is big and sweet. Margo is friendly with people and dogs, and while we're unsure about kids or cats, she's a quick learner. She's doing great with leash walking and house training, and loves her two daily walks with her foster brothers, Ace and Dandy. Margo is playful, especially when toys are involved, and she's happy to let you handle her, even during bath time! Though crate training is still a work in progress, she's making steady improvements. She prefers to be close to her family but is gaining confidence to explore on her own. Margo is a smart, joyful girl, learning commands like sit and no, and she's always eager to please. Story
Meet Daisy! Daisy is a beautiful 3-year-old, 45-pound Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart full of love and energy to share. She adores dogs and kids, making her a perfect addition to a lively home! This sun-loving girl enjoys lounging outside, running around, and car rides—even after her recent surgery, she handled the trip like a champ. Daisy’s playful nature shines brightest with her fur brother, though she sometimes forgets to pace herself when he’s ready for a break. She’s still learning that not every dog appreciates her enthusiastic jumping, but her excitement is all part of her charm. Daisy is potty trained, knows how to sit, and sleeps soundly through the night in her crate—even if she’d rather keep playing at first! During the day, she’ll sometimes choose to nap there on her own. She’s learning leash manners, but her zest for life makes outdoor adventures very exciting, so she’s working on not pulling so much. She absolutely loves being petted, though she might get a little jealous if another dog gets attention first. Her response? Big, loving eyes that earn her pets every time. When she met her foster mom’s grandsons, Daisy was all wiggles and kisses, showing how much she adores kids. Daisy loves toys but sometimes thinks anything on the floor is fair game—she’s learning to tell the difference. If you’re looking for a sweet, spirited, and affectionate companion who thrives in an active family, Daisy is ready to bring sunshine and love to your home! Story
Shiloh is 1 year and 6 months old. She is the sweetest and kindest dog I have ever known, and all I care about is that she is adopted by a loving family and has a good home. I have been recently engaged and moved into a home with my fiance who has a 5 year old dog. Though Shiloh loves him and is as kind and playful as a dog could be to him, my fiances' dog refuses to accept her and at times gets very mean toward her. It has become a big issue and unfortunately has led me to needing to re-home Shiloh. She gets along great with every dog and person she has ever met, but my fiances dog just will not stop being mean and territorial to her. Shiloh is very playful and bouncy as she is still quite young, and she is happiest when she is able to run around outside.
