She is a wonderful gal that just LOVES her people and gets along with all dogs and cats. She is crate trained, loves car rides and likes to hang out with humans on their beds/couch. She loves her toys and lounging on her dog bed. She will require a securely fenced yard. She was dumped in middle of road before the holidays and such a sweet gal looking for her forever home. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 800,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. ****Jasper have been with us longer than we`d like, so he has been added to our Lonely Hearts Club. His adoption fee has been reduced to $100****Hello, I’m Jasper! I’m an older, shorter dog who prefers a quieter pace and a home that understands gentle old souls like mine. I can be unsure around new people and may bark at first, but I warm up best with a lot of time, patience, and calm introductions. Being alone is hard for me and I may whine, though once I feel secure I’m generally easygoing. When I’m happy I can get a bit enthusiastic and might jump up, but my heart is in the right place. I’ve lived with another dog before, but I can be protective around food and reactive to dogs I see through windows, so I may do best as the only dog in the home. With enrichment, consistency, and time to adjust, I’m a loyal companion who truly blossoms once trust is built!Medical History: Jasper appears to be a healthy senior dog, although there are a few arthritic and knee issues your counselors should talk with you about. We always recommend that dogs see a new vet shortly after adoption so they can get to know each other and plan a schedule for long-term good healthWeight: 81 lbsAdoption fee: $100 + Tax

****Jaxx has been with us longer than we`d like, so they have been added to our Lonely Hearts Club. Their adoption fee has been reduced to $100****Well hi there, I’m Jaxx! I’m a sensitive guy who bonds deeply with my people and I do best in a calm and quiet home. New people can make me a little nervous at first, so I might bark until I feel safe, but believe me, once I trust you, I’m incredibly loyal. I get excited very easily and I don’t love being alone, so I’d really appreciate someone who can help me build confidence and stick to my comforting routines. I’ve lived with another dog before, but I can be protective around food and get worked up when I see other dogs through the window, so I will be happiest as your one-and-only dog in the home. With patience, enrichment, and slow introductions to new things, I’ll show you just how loving and devoted I can truly be! Medical History: Jaxx appears to be a healthy dog, although there are a few arthritic and knee issues your counselors should talk with you about. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.**   Meet Peaches!  Peaches is an approximately 2 years old, 55lb Black mouth cur mix. (We do not DNA test).  This poor girl found herself in a shelter down south when her owner went to jail.  Lucky for her some kind people saw her and brought her into rescue and she found her way up north to HWM.  Peaches is crate trained and house broken.  Her foster mom says she walks great on her harness and might even make a great jogging buddy for someone.  While Peaches doesn’t necessarily need a fenced in yard, she is high energy, so she will need lots of exercise, and walks.  Her potential adopters must be very committed to this.    Peaches is described by her foster momma as eager to please, food motivated and very affectionate.  This sweet girl has done well with other dogs in the foster home, as well as adults, but has not yet been exposed to cats or small humans.    Peaches is heartworm positive, but don't let that deter you.   She will be receiving treatment that is covered by the rescue.  Potential adopters will speak to a member of our medical team prior to any meet and greet, so they can fully understand the treatment and what it entails.     Peaches’ Adoption fee is  $350.00.  This includes age appropriate vaccines, completed wellness exam, and microchip.  *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. While we aim to be as accurate as possible, each animal is individual and their behaviors and personalities can change in different surroundings.  HWMAR holds no guarantees to personality, behavior or breed* Please review our adoption process & complete an application on our website - www.hoofwoofmeow.org/adoption   We adopt within 150 mile radius of Elgin, IL **We are a 100% volunteer rescue.  All of our dogs are in Foster Homes**Submission of an application does not guarantee adoption of any specific animal as they may have applications pending or might not be the right match.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 7, 2025, 11:13 pm
