At six years old, she’s past the puppy chaos, but still full of curiosity and that classic Bloodhound charm. Kalina has spent her life relying on the comfort of other dogs, so she must go to a home with at least one confident canine friend. Other dogs help her feel safe, show her the ropes, and bring out her most relaxed, happy self. This girl is shy when she first meets new people and may take a little extra time to trust. She’s not the kind of dog who will rush into your lap on day one. Kalina is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships are built slowly. She may not be the “perfect” pet for everyone, but she’s hoping to find the perfect person: someone patient, gentle, and willing to let her  bloom at her own pace.       Meet Colt Davis, a four-year-old, 80 pound Bloodhound with a heart as big as his famous floppy ears. He’s fully housebroken, respectful in the home, and dedicated to sniffing absolutely everything—because, well, he’s a Bloodhound and his nose is basically his full-time job. Colt has a classic hound temperament: sweet, gentle, a little stubborn, and very smart. Outside, he follows scents with laser focus and has the deep, melodic hound bellows that come with the breed. Because of that voice, he isn’t suited for apartment or townhouse living. He’s currently settling in and decompressing, and he’s shown no signs of reactivity to other dogs. As he relaxes further, his personality will shine even more. Colt is affectionate, loves being doted on, and handled grooming beautifully—yes, even those big ears. He would thrive in a loving family home. A secure, tall, or privacy fence is a must. His nose will lead him on adventures if not well contained.
