Meet Dolly Dolly is a beautiful 3 year old purebred Bloodhound. She is dog, child, and people friendly, but does not like cats. Dolly was surrendered by her previous owners because she didn’t have a fenced yard, has a high prey drive and likes to follow her nose. For her safety, Dolly must have a containment fenced yard. She has lived her life inside, and been part of a family. As the family grew, Dolly got less time and never became fully house trained. Since being with us, she will tinkle in her kennel sometimes, but that’s all so we are confident she will be a fast learner. Dolly is a quick learner. She now walks on a leash and knows the command “sit”. She is treat motivated and loves interacting with our staff. Dolly is fully vetted, weighs 76lbs, spayed, Heartworm negative, micro chipped, and ready to find her forever home. If you love this breed, have a containment fenced yard and would like to make Dolly part of your family please fill out an application at charlessmithgallhumaneumanesociety.org Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes.
