    Meet Kalina - Your Gentle, Goofy Soulmate in Waiting Age: 6 years, Breed: Bloodhound, Personality: Sweet, Shy, Loyal Kalina is a big, velvety-eared, sweetheart with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. At six years old, she’s past the puppy chaos, but still full of curiosity and that classic Bloodhound charm. Kalina has spent her life relying on the comfort of other dogs, so she must go to a home with at least one confident canine friend. Other dogs help her feel safe, show her the ropes, and bring out her most relaxed, happy self. This girl is shy when she first meets new people and may take a little extra time to trust. She’s not the kind of dog who will rush into your lap on day one. Kalina is looking for someone who understands that the best relationships are built slowly. She may not be the “perfect” pet for everyone, but she’s hoping to find the perfect person: someone patient, gentle, and willing to let her  bloom at her own pace. With kindness, consistency, and a canine companion by her side, Kalina will reward you with quiet loyalty, tender moments, and the deep, steady love only a hound can give. If you believe every dog deserves to be seen for who they are and you have room in your home and heart for a shy soul ready to trust again, Kalina would love to meet you. A little about Duke: he is truly a snuggle bug and a lover. Because he bonds so deeply, he does struggle with separation anxiety and truly needs a home where someone is around often to give him the snuggles and attention he craves. He thrives on being close to his people and would do best as an only pet, where he can soak up all the love. He has been the absolute best big brother to our 2-year-old daughter: gentle, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. While he needs a patient soul to help him feel secure when left alone, he is absolutely worth the extra effort. Duke is food-motivated and loves to learn; he just needs someone committed to giving him the stability he deserves
