Story
Meet Kashka — Your Future Adventure Buddy & Snuggle Queen (with the cutest tiny underbite!)
Kashka is a young, vibrant, fun-loving girl who’s equal parts athlete and cuddle bug. She’s the kind of dog who will sprint at top speed after a squirrel… then melt into you for belly rubs five minutes later.
💖 What Kashka Loves
Exercise and affection!
Kashka thrives with 1–2 hours of daily activity. Runs, brisk walks, soccer games, frisbee sessions, swimming in lakes, or just zooming around the yard (her zoomies are legendary!) — she’s all in. Her “good morning” routine includes melting into her human for hugs and belly rubs, and she happily asks for affection throughout the day.
Mental challenges.
She’s highly intelligent and enjoys puzzle toys, scent games, and searching for treats hidden in toys.
Cardboard “projects.”
Tearing up boxes is her part-time job — and she takes it very seriously.
People + dogs.
Kashka is extroverted and social. She greets everyone with a wagging tail and leans in for affection. She plays well with dogs her own size or larger.
Outings.
She’s a polite, well-behaved companion at breweries, cafés, and restaurants.
⭐ What She’s Great At
✔ Crate trained and happily relaxes or sleeps in her crate
✔ Fully potty trained (no accidents)
✔ Walks nicely on leash with a no-pull harness
✔ Extremely affectionate and people-oriented
✔ Smart, curious, and eager to engage
✔ Knows “sit, down, shake, and “come” and is working on "place and heal"
✔ Can entertain herself with toys, sticks, or a cozy bed — making her an excellent work-from-home companion
✔ Catching balls, frisbees, water waves, flies, flying leaves — and honestly, she’s a great catch herself***
🩺 ***Medical Note
Kashka has recently been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and is currently awaiting a veterinary treatment plan. Despite this diagnosis, she remains a happy, playful, and affectionate young dog who enjoys her daily walks, playtime, and enrichment. Her care team will guide the best path forward, which may include medical management, physical therapy, or other treatment options. Her physical activity has been limited to low-impact exercises, but she is expected to get back to a fully active life upon completion of the treatment.
Her future family will be supported with guidance and should be comfortable following a veterinary care plan and balancing activity with appropriate rest to keep her comfortable long-term.
Hip dysplasia does not define Kashka — she is joyful, social, intelligent, and deeply loving.
🏡 What Kashka Needs
Kashka will do best with an active, consistent family who has time for exercise, play, and engagement. A fenced yard is a big plus. She has a high prey drive and a strong chewing drive, so she’ll thrive with structure, enrichment, and supervision.
She’s not highly food-motivated, but she lights up for squeaky toys, enthusiastic praise, and physical affection.
If you’re looking for a low-energy, low-engagement dog or plan to crate for long hours each day, Kashka is not the right fit. But if you want a dog who will join you on adventures — hiking, swimming, running — then curl up with you for a movie while leaning into your side, Kashka just might be your perfect match.
