Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Paco is a 5 year old Bloodhound with a sad past. He&#39s with us now which means only happy days ahead! Paco has a bit of a prey drive so no cats or small dogs for him but he&#39s fine with bigger dogs. Still learning the house rules too. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application ( and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet.September 22, 2023, 8:21 pm

Bloodhound Coonhound

Female, 10 yrs 8 mos
Carrollton, TX
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Spayed or Neutered,
Hoss and Sugar were 2 of 17 dogs left behind in deplorable conditions following the death of their owner in Jan 2021  The living conditions were beyond disgusting and absolutely horrific.  Several rescues and volunteers came together, over a span of several days, to save all the dogs, and Hoss and Sugar came with us. Out of the 17 dogs, a handful of them got sick and passed away, the rest got adopted.  Hoss and Sugar are the only ones still left without a home. They are both extremely sweet and have the cutest personalities! Hoss and Sugar love their humans, and given the oppertunity, will spend every moment possible with them.   They like to trot around carrying stuffed animals in their mouths and playing keep away from one another.  They are nothing but two sweet old souls and big babies who love to be loved. Hoss and Sugar eat together, sleep together, play together and love one another very much.  They share well and really are the best of friends.  We would absolutely LOVE to find them a home together where they could relax and enjoy all the good things life has to offer which they were never given before. Both are dog friendly but have not met a cat.  Both warm up to kids, Sugar takes a bit longer, but for their own peace, a home with older or no kids would be the best fit for these two.  Ideally, we would love to find them a quiet home with an adult human companion or two that could spoil them completely rotten and give them all their love and attention!  (not a requirement of course but we can hope) If you're interested in finding out more about Hoss and Sugar and if they would be a good fit in your home, please submit an application to adopt or foster this pair!  We would love to discuss any thoughts or concerns with you and help you welcome them into their new home! **Seniors interested in adopting this pair** We know money can be tight so please contact us about special adoption rates.  We are also more than happy to throw in a year of heartworm prevention for both Hoss and Sugar and a couple bags of food and stuffed toys to get you going! Please submit an application here or on our website, ##945047##

Male, adult
Fort Worth, TX
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Spayed or Neutered,
Meet Boone! This gentle 8 year old giants owner passed away and now he is looking for his new forever home. Boone is a true blood hound, he is curious and loves his walks so he can sniff out all of the neighborhood critters. He is a little shy with new people and does not care for loud noises. He likes his doggie friends, but does not like to share his food or bowl when it's chow time. Boone is potty trained, but does not care for a crate. He loves his people and will be a loyal companion who will follow you around the house. In true blood hound fashion his new owner will need embrace his slobber like a badge of honor, but this is easily manageable with a fresh supply of dish towels strategically placed around your home. He also has big floppy ears that need cleaning bi-weekly, Boone takes all of this attention like a champ. Boone is also great at letting you know if someone has come to visit your front door. Boone would do best with someone who can be home during the day to give him attention or someone who can visit at lunch. He does well with others dogs after an introduction, but will let them know who is in charge. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
