Story
Maddie is a 3 1/2 year old, 73 lb Bloodhound/German Shepherd mix who is still looking for the right home. She is potty trained, crate trained, and does best in a home where people are around often. Maddie enjoys playing with other dogs and going on walks. She has an energetic play style and needs a large, active dog who can keep up with her. Maddie is friendly with people but may be a little shy at first. Because of her size and energy level, she would be a better fit for a home with children 7 and up. She can be a bit unaware of her size at times. She is currently working with a trainer on her leash skills, so she will need an adopter who is willing to continue that work. Maddie would do best with an experienced dog owner. She is not a fit for homes with cats or apartment living. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting Maddie, please fill out an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a home check *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2088340##

Meet Lucille! You picked a fine time to meet me, Lucille... Unlike the famous song, this Lucille isnt leaving anyone behind—shes patiently waiting for someone to finally take her home. With her soulful eyes, floppy ears, and unmistakable hound-dog charm, Lucille has a face that's impossible to forget and a personality that's even sweeter.Lucille is incredibly affectionate, wonderfully gentle, well-mannered, and very smart. She loves being close to people and is happiest when she's receiving belly rubs, ear scratches, or simply soaking up attention from someone she trusts. She's also wonderful with children, making her the kind of family companion everyone hopes to find. Now, we know what you're thinking... "You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille..."Well, whoever left this Lucille behind clearly didn't know what they had. She's ready to rewrite her story with someone who will never leave her again. All she wants is a family to love, a cozy place to rest, and people to call her own. In return, she'll give you unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and plenty of those irresistible hound-dog expressions that are guaranteed to make you smile. So don't leave Lucille singing the blues in a shelter kennel.Come meet her today... because this time, Lucille deserves someone who stays. Note: Adoption Policy: Montague County Animal Rescue typically does not adopt dogs to homes where they will live primarily outdoors. We believe every dog deserves to be part of the family and live safely indoors. Exceptions may be made for specific breeds or unique circumstances where an outdoor environment is appropriate and secure.

Amazing Purebred Bloodhound looking for a new home. We have too much going on to give her the attention she needs and should be with someone who is experienced with the breed. She is house trained and will be up to date with shots. She loves to sit with you on the couch or tag along and walk the yard.

Story
Need to rehome River since we have an infant around. She is around 7-8 years old and sleep around the house mostly but recently has showed signs of being territorial with her bed/food around our new baby. She’s never showed signs of aggression with us or with children prior, so it’s a bit of a surprise. Additionally, we haven’t had as much time to take her on walks which is her absolute favorite, close second is chasing rabbits. She is a wonderful companion that loves to smell everything. Big sun bather!Hoping to find the right home for her, very sad time for us.
