These lyrics from my favorite, old time, T.V show describe me perfectly. I am a big dog with a winning smile, I have a singing hound dog voice and love to take treats from my friends. I can be as loving as any dog; but am a bit afraid of strangers, bicycles, joggers and people that have not taken the time to get to know me. That is why suburbia is not a great fit for me. I long for a quiet country life. When I am at home, I am a big couch potato. I am house trained, and I love having a big bed, and sitting with friends on some furniture. When properly introduced, I love my people and give big hound dog hugs. I need a home with a very strong, experienced owner and no children. Please come visit, give me a treat, and let me serenade you! Since I have reached my golden years, I am eligible for the Senior Care Plan (learn more here). This wonderful boy is Walker. He is a big, loveable boy that enjoys playing. He gets excited when he sees a cat or a squirrel like any good hound would. He really likes to hang out with people and other dogs. He has the softest ears and just loves it when you give him ear scratches. He is housetrained and wags his entire body when he sees his humans. He has never met a stranger and is just a big, loving lug. Cooper is a handsome Treeing Walker Coonhound who came to AFH from a rural shelter in southwest Virginia. He was originally found as a stray. He is so sweet. He gets along great with other dogs. He is also very good with people of all ages and sizes.
