Story
Introducing, Missy! Missy is 8 years old and 65 lbs. This sweet girl was surrendered to a rural animal shelter because her owners had too many dogs. We don't know what Missy's life was like before, but she definitely had many litters of puppies. Missy is currently living her best life in a wonderful foster home. She can be shy at first, but given a few days, her lovely personality will start to show. Missy is housebroken, loves going on a long walk, and bonds deeply with her people. Don't let Missy's age deter you...this girl acts like she's a young pup and has many good years left! We believe Missy will do best in a home with older children and as the only fur-baby. Interested in learning more about Missy? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt *Missy spayed, up to date on vaccines, was given monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

-ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 70 lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: 5 weeks (September 7) -KNOWN WITH DOGS: Great with littermates and mom, as a puppy we expect that Katharina will be good with other dogs if provided with early socialization opportunities -KNOWN WITH CATS: As a puppy, we expect she will be fine with cats -KNOWN WITH KIDS: Katharina is a young puppy and is good with kids she's interacted with -KNOWN CUES: Katharina is just learning basic commands -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: As she's a puppy, she isn’t house trained yet, but is looking forward to learning with you -KNOWN LIKES: being social, playing -KNOWN DISLIKES: None known ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Katharina is a puppy, but you might mistake her for a social butterfly. She has no wings, but with her four paws she is an outgoing, social puppy who wants to meet everyone and make new friends. Although Katharina is determined to meet everyone and make them her friend, she knows that you will be her best friend. Because Katharina is so young, this puppy is at the perfect age to grow up learning your routines, bonding deeply with her family, and becoming a wonderful lifelong companion. With patience, positive training, and lots of love, she will be an amazing adult dog. Puppies this age will need continued work with house training, crate training, and basic manners, but they make up for it with endless affection, laughter, and unforgettable moments. If you’re ready for tiny paws, happy zoomies, and a lifetime of love, this little one may be your perfect match! Story
Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Some dogs come to us with very special needs and BamBam is one of those dogs.  While he is a playful pup full of energy and affection, he is also extremely fearful of the world.  This fear can manifest into making him protective and reactive.  As his anxiety traits present a challenge, a quiet, experienced and patient home is required to address his needs.  He should also be in a home without children or other pets.  Among his many positive qualities, he is quiet, house trained, crate trained, and he will sit nicely and lift his paw for a treat.  He is extremely shy when meeting new people but once BamBam feels comfortable, he will be your loyal companion forever!    **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org.
