Story
Meet Lacy! This 3 year old Blue Lacy mix is a mama of seven sweet pups and the best house hippo anyone could ask for! A true girl’s girl, she is always up for a Starbucks run (for a Pup Cup), a walk around the park, and TV time to watch her favorite reality shows. She’s a constant shadow, providing protection around each turn, and an avid investigator (you’ll always know where bunnies and neighbor pups hide). Indoors, Lacy is respectful, so kind, and incredibly loving. Outdoors, she is curious, a bit reactive, and becomes hyper-focused on things around her (particularly on animals). She requires mental stimulation, security, and training. She is best suited for someone that will continue her training as her partner so that she can keep exploring the world that she has just begun to experience. She may be a mama, but she’s still young herself and deserves every opportunity to grow into the pup she wants to be. :)

Story
Meet Grey! This handsome 1-year-old Blue Lacy/Pittie mix is a total heart-melter with his soft silver coat and soulful brown eyes. Grey is a sweet, snuggly boy who adores his people and just wants to feel safe and loved. Grey hasn’t had an easy start, so he can be shy and easily startled—especially around strangers and men. He needs slow introductions and a patient family who understands that trust takes time. Once he feels comfortable, though? He becomes the wiggliest, happiest cuddle bug you’ve ever met. His tail never stops, and he’ll lean right into you for pets and affection. This boy is athletic, fun, and always up for an adventure! Grey loves hiking, fetch, tug-of-war, and anything that lets him run and stretch those legs. A fenced yard would be ideal. And when he’s done being an athlete, he’s just as happy curling up in your lap for a nap or nudging you for more love. Grey is also super smart! He’s mastered sit, down, place, out/drop it, heel, and waiting politely at doors. He walks nicely on leash and is working hard on feeling more confident around crowds and strangers—treats and gentle guidance make all the difference. He's crate trained, food motivated, and enjoys learning. Grey can be selective with other dogs and may get growly, so a dog-free home or a calm, compatible dog is best.   He's actually been pretty good with most and has 2 new besties. We've been dog-sitting a family dog for the week, and Grey is thriving. He is, "Good with some dogs"!   No young kids, please, as sudden movements can scare him. Cats are unknown. To help him continue to grow, Grey comes with lifetime training and support from the American Canine Academy! His perfect family will be calm, patient, kind, and experienced—someone who can help him feel safe while letting him blossom into the goofy, loving boy he truly is. If you’re ready to help a deserving pup heal and thrive, Grey is ready to love you with his whole heart. Find out more or apply to adopt this love bug at EAPL.com.  His adoption fee is $375.  January 5, 2026, 10:27 am

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Cookie #10 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Cookie #10 | 12 weeks | Aussie Mix with a big personality Cookie is an 12-week-old Aussie mix puppy with a fearless heart and an endless zest for life. Weighing about 10 pounds, this white-and-merle boy is playful, sweet, friendly, and already showing signs of being a confident little adventurer. He loves toys, enjoys car rides, and is always up for playtime or a cuddle when he finally slows down. Very little fazes him—if something doesn’t go quite right, he bounces back quickly and is ready to try again. As a young puppy, Cookie is starting from scratch with house training and basic manners. He is still learning to be comfortable in his crate and may whine or bark at first, especially when left alone, and he cannot hold his bladder for long yet. He has been left crated and alone for short periods (about 3–4 hours) and is making gradual progress. Like most puppies, he is working on play biting and learning to chew toys instead of hands, and food is a great motivator for him. Cookie does very well with other dogs and has had positive interactions with large dogs, including a Mastiff and a Great Dane. He would love a home with another playful dog to help burn off his energy. He is also doing well with cats—he wants to play and may chase a bit, but is learning boundaries as the cats become more comfortable. He has not yet met children, but he shows no preference for men or women and is generally very social. This high-energy pup will need an active home committed to exercise, training, and structure as he grows. With his intelligence, fearlessness, and enthusiasm, Cookie could be a great candidate for activities like agility in the future. Most of all, he needs a family ready for the joys and challenges of puppyhood—and who will enjoy watching this confident little guy grow into an amazing dog.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
