Story
Uther is a 2.5 year old Blue Lacy mix who loves playing with other dogs and lying in the sun. He picks up on training quickly and thrives when given a task. He walks well on a leash and responds to an attention sound. He gets along well with other dogs, and his favorite playmates are his size or larger -- he loves being chased and rolled over. We adopted this dog when he was just a puppy found on a ranch, but we've realized that our small apartment and one-dog limit isn't right for him. His ideal home has a yard and another dog for him to play with.

Story
My given name from my foster mom is exactly who I am. Asta... this name means "divine strength", "love", and "star-like". I was abandoned by my first family on the side of the highway for a few months with my sister Kinsley. She was my protector during that time. I was terribly traumatized by being abandoned. Today I'm a shining star with beautiful grey eyes that match my coat. I like to play and go on backyard adventures with my sister and dog foster family. I like everyone and get along with other dogs and I'm a bit submissive and respectful towards everyone. I have beautiful pleading grey eyes that draw attention and make most ppl say awwwww and have a low key nature about me. We love each other very much and want to stay together for life! Please find it in your heart to adopt us together! We promise years of love and fun :) Local adoption fee together is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee together is $600 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Shorty is as handsome as they come. He's a cool, confident, friendly Blue Lacy with soft gray fur. He is naturally friendly and easy. He’s got a calm, “good boy” energy that’s impossible not to love. This guy is social, easygoing, and always happy to meet new people. Shorty brings a steady, affectionate presence that makes him feel like an instant friend. Shorty has great manners, loves hanging out with his humans, and can slip into a routine like he's been there for years. He’s the kind of dog who keeps things fun but relaxed — confident without being pushy, sweet without being clingy, and always ready for whatever the day brings. If you’re looking for a loyal, down-to-earth companion who’s as charming as he is good-looking, Shorty might just be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Paco – Your Loyal Shadow and Playful Pup Paco is a handsome brown and white hound mix with a heart as big as his floppy ears. This affectionate boy is thriving in his foster home and is now ready to find a forever family of his very own — ideally one with a fenced yard, a playful dog friend, and humans who will include him in their daily life. He bonds deeply and loves nothing more than being close to his people. Paco is house-trained, great on a leash, and eager to please. He loves to romp and wrestle with other dogs and is surprisingly respectful around chickens — a true southern gentleman. He’s curious with cats and learning to be polite with them, taking gentle correction well. After a fun day, Paco prefers to sleep snuggled up with his foster mom, but he also does great overnight in a crate when needed. Being outdoors is Paco’s happy place. He enjoys exploring, sunbathing, and relaxing in the grass, and he’s a fan of splashing in the water to cool off on warm days. Car rides are becoming more comfortable for him, and with continued positive experiences, he’ll soon be a confident travel buddy. Paco is the perfect match for someone seeking a loyal, cuddly, dog-friendly companion with a sweet spirit and a playful heart. If you’re ready for a devoted shadow who will follow you from the garden to the couch, look no further — Paco is ready to love you for life. Paco is being fostered in a home in Seguin, TX but can be transported to the PNW and NE. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. For more information on heartworms, please visit the American Heartworm Society here https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basicsI am currently in a foster home and not at HSNBA, if you are interested in meeting me, please contact the nice folks at HSNBA so they can put you in contact with my foster family to set up a meet & greet. E-mail HSNBA at adoption@hsnba.org, call us at: (830) 629-5287 or stop by and speak with the folks at HSNBA at 3353 Morningside Dr. to get your information sent over to my foster home. My foster family is the best and can give you more information on me.Ru or Ru-Ru, as her foster calls her. She is a 3-year-old cattle dog going through heartworm treat. She has two more treatments left, but she is doing great. Ru-Ru is a sweet girl that craves love and affection and loves being near her foster mom. She is a little shy at first and gets startled by loud noised, but warms up to you pretty quick. Ru-Ru gets along great with my 3 dogs and my four cats. Though she seems to be in love with Luck, my black cat. Ru-Ru is crate trained and does great in her kennel overnight. She doesn't like being left in the crate during the day, but she settles down after 15 - 20 minutes with chew toys and treat. She has not had any accidents in the house or in her kennel because she has access to a doggy door and comes and goes as she pleases. Ru-Ru love to lay out the patio in the sun or be lazy in bed. Ru-Ru is the perfect match for someone looking for an affectionate, loving and loyal girl with a lot to give.HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.
