Meet Hershey – a 2-year-old, 45lb neutered male with all vaccines up to date. He’s possibly a Blue Lacy/Pit mix and one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever met. He’s affectionate, playful, and has zero aggression. His love language is touch—he’s happiest cuddled next to you. Hershey is fully trained: crate, potty, leash, off-leash, and all basic commands. He completed a 4-week board and train, and I’ve kept up with his training since. He eats 3 cups of Purina Pro Plan daily, has a short coat, sheds minimally, and gets bathed a few times a month. He’s good with some dogs after warming up—he loved my 15lb dachshund—but has anxiety with new ones, so slow intros are best. He also gets seasonal allergies, but Zyrtec or vet meds clear it up quickly. I love Hershey so much, but I can’t give him the stable love and time he deserves. He needs a calm, patient home where he’ll be deeply loved. If that might be you, please reach out.

He is a goofy boy whose interests include birdwatching, cream cheese, and trying to pick up three tennis balls at once. We adopted him when he was just a puppy found on a ranch in central Texas. My given name from my foster mom is exactly who I am. Asta... this name means "divine strength", "love", and "star-like". I was abandoned by my first family on the side of the highway for a few months with my sister Kinsley. She was my protector during that time. I was terribly traumatized by being abandoned. Today I'm a shining star with beautiful grey eyes that match my coat. I like to play and go on backyard adventures with my sister and dog foster family. I like everyone and get along with other dogs and I'm a bit submissive and respectful towards everyone. I have beautiful pleading grey eyes that draw attention and make most ppl say awwwww and have a low key nature about me. We love each other very much and want to stay together for life!
