Bernie aka Bernie Mac is a handsome, athletic young dog with a heart full of joy and a spirit that shines wherever he goes. He was one of 11 puppies rescued in near Uvalde, Texas. Bernie had grown into a confident, happy-go-lucky companion who adores people and other dogs alike. Bernie's energy is infectious and his run is absolutely majestic to watch! Whether he's sprinting across an open field, chasing a ball at the park, or making new friends at doggie daycare, he moves with grace and purpose. He would truly flourish in a home with a large yard where he can stretch those legs and explore to his heart's content. This extroverted boy loves being part of the action. Bernie thrives on companionship, playtime, and outdoor adventures. He's great with other dogs, does well at the dog park, and would make an ideal companion for an active person, couple, or family who can match his zest for life. If you're looking for a dog who is full of life, love, and heart; Bernie is your guy.

Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Snuggles fetch and food!  What do these things have in common?  Ranger!  These just happen to be his most favorite things!  If you too love puppy snuggles then he’s the guy for you.   After a seemingly never ending game of fetch, Ranger will happily settle down and chill with a chew bone or even better a nap snuggled up next to his favorite person.   Food is up next on his list of faves, which makes him an ideal candidate for training! He loves to learn and picks up new skills so quickly.  All he needs is a new family to continue his education. It’s hard to believe this adorable guy was taken to a shelter in SW VA after being hit by a car and no one claimed him.  After being cleared by a vet he was able to be transferred to Mutts for a chance at a better life!  It’s taken some time for us to really get to know him but after spending quality time in not one, but two foster homes (he’s so popular two foster families are sharing his time!), we’ve discovered what an amazing boy Ranger is! To note, Ranger can be uncomfortable and reactive to some dogs while on leash.  We feel with the right fear free training, time and patience, this can be managed and improved.  Ranger has had some good play sessions with female dogs and was able to coexist in a foster home with calm, female dogs.  At this time it is best for Ranger to live in a single family home with a fenced yard where his interactions around other dogs can be managed.  He is able to go for walks with a plan and lots of treats for distractions.  Trust us when we say this love bug will be worth all the extra effort! Ranger is 40lbs and 2 yrs old.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. She has a gorgeous sleek black coat and big, gentle eyes that instantly make you fall in love. Renee is a soft-hearted, affectionate girl who loves to snuggle and be close to her people. She’s gentle, warm, and incredibly sweet — the kind of dog who melts right into you. Despite her dainty look, she’s also the perfect little adventure buddy, always ready to explore or tag along wherever you go. She’s wonderfully social and does great with kids, cats, and other dogs. She’s crate trained, housebroken, and has excellent manners for her age. Renee is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, and ready to find the forever family who will adore her. ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog.
