Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Snuggles fetch and food!  What do these things have in common?  Ranger!  These just happen to be his most favorite things!  If you too love puppy snuggles then he’s the guy for you.   After a seemingly never ending game of fetch, Ranger will happily settle down and chill with a chew bone or even better a nap snuggled up next to his favorite person.   Food is up next on his list of faves, which makes him an ideal candidate for training! He loves to learn and picks up new skills so quickly.  All he needs is a new family to continue his education. It’s hard to believe this adorable guy was taken to a shelter in SW VA after being hit by a car and no one claimed him.  After being cleared by a vet he was able to be transferred to Mutts for a chance at a better life!  It’s taken some time for us to really get to know him but after spending quality time in not one, but two foster homes (he’s so popular two foster families are sharing his time!), we’ve discovered what an amazing boy Ranger is! To note, Ranger can be uncomfortable and reactive to some dogs while on leash.  We feel with the right fear free training, time and patience, this can be managed and improved.  Ranger has had some good play sessions with female dogs and was able to coexist in a foster home with calm, female dogs.  At this time it is best for Ranger to live in a single family home with a fenced yard where his interactions around other dogs can be managed.  He is able to go for walks with a plan and lots of treats for distractions.  Trust us when we say this love bug will be worth all the extra effort! Ranger is 40lbs and 2 yrs old.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Story
Meet Penelope! This 5-year-old Heeler/Terrier mix has one of the sweetest, most endearing faces you’ll ever see — complete with a perfectly imperfect little smile that could melt anyone’s heart. Her grin might be a bit crooked (her vet thinks she may have had an old injury), but it just adds to her charm and never slows her down. She’s happy, healthy, and full of love to give. Penelope is gentle, well behaved, snuggly, and affectionate — the kind of dog who leans into you for pets and makes you feel instantly at peace. She’s a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’ll be your most loyal companion and biggest cuddle buddy. She’s very social and does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs. She’s also a smart girl who’s both crate trained and house trained. Penelope is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find her forever family — one that will appreciate her beautiful smile and even more beautiful heart.

RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please email: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com You can also visit our website Rpacirescue.org to fill out an adoption application Meet Maple! 🐾😍 Maple is a 12-week-old Blue Heeler/Husky mix with the most gentle little presence. She has a beautifully blended coat, big round eyes, and the cutest white blaze that gives her such a soft, expressive look. There’s something especially sweet about her — she watches the world with quiet curiosity, taking everything in before she comes closer. Maple is affectionate, playful, and smart, but she carries a touch of shyness that makes her even more endearing. She warms up quickly with kindness and absolutely blossoms once she feels safe. She loves snuggling close, enjoys playing once she’s comfortable, and does wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs. She’s spayed, UTD on vaccinations, and ready to find a forever family who will appreciate her gentle spirit and help her confidence continue to shine. ❤️

IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Aspen! Aspen is about 1 year old and weighs about 32 lbs. We think she is a Cattle Dog/Husky Mix (just a guess). Aspen has been a great mom to her 5 puppies and now it is time for them all to find their forever homes. Aspen is a bit timid at first but warms up quickly. She is great with the resident dogs in her foster home and does well with the young children in her foster home. Aspen is quite energetic and very smart. Aspen is still settling into life in a home and when startled she does look for an "out". She will quickly run and hide, but then when she realizes it was "nothing" she comes back out and is her happy self. Aspen will need another young and playful dog in her forever home to help build her confidence. Aspen will be is spayed at the end of January, she is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTI NG ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Tundra! Tundra is almost 8 weeks old (12/29/25) and weighs about 6 lbs. Tundra's mom is Aspen (also on the website) and she weighs about 32 lbs. Our best guess on this breed mix is Cattle Dog/Husky - (Just a Guess). This litter of puppies are a little shy at first, but they warm up quickly and become playful and adventurous. They are in a foster home with young children and other dogs. This litter of puppies will do best in a home with another young and confident dog to help build their confidence. This litter requires an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue training—no exceptions. The puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be spayed or neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00 plus a $100.00 spay/neuter refundable deposit. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Story
Remy is playful, eager to please, food motivated and very intelligent. He absolutely loves other dogs and has made a lot of canine friends on daily walks. He would do great if he had a canine sibling and a fenced yard to play in. Remy is loyal and wonderful to his family. He loves running after a ball or a stick or frisbee and is learning to bring them back to his person. He also loves his toy collection and will go his basket of toys and pick something out when he is bored! We told you he is smart! He needs a slow introduction with strangers because people he does not know appear to make him nervous. He is crate trained and potty trained and would make an excellent jogging or hiking companion. He knows basic commands like sit, down, shake, and he knows to wait patiently for his food at mealtimes. He is currently in a home with a kitten and the two of them get along great. If you are interested in this beautiful and active dog, please let us know. Questions About this Animal? Hi there! My name is Ray, short for 'Radar.'  That is because, you got it, my magnificent, perky ears!  I don't miss a thing!  Especially when I hear the sound of a hand reaching into a bag of my doggie treats.  I love running and playing with my foster sister so I would make a great companion pet. I also love my daily walks. I am working on gaining confidence when I'm out on walks and improving daily.  I do check the boxes for housetrained, dog friendly, kid friendly, all around people friendly and SWEETNESS.  Did I mention I sleep through the night! I warm up quickly when I first meet people and I love cuddles.  I have a heart full of love and wating for that person/family to welcome me into their home. Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org December 6, 2025, 10:37 pm
